Good Friday Blessings to ALL.

The occasion of Good Friday reminds each one of us that we all matter a lot to the Almighty and we must always be thankful to him. Have a wonderful day of reflection and sharing the love he has for each and everyone of us, with others ❤️

It's an absolute honour on behalf of the Gilroy Parent Council Committee, to present this beautiful statue that now stands proudly in our School Grounds.

The gift is to celebrate 40 year of Gilroy Catholic College and is from every parent that has ever sent their child to this wonderful school.

The plan was to celebrate back in 2020 but due to situations outside of our control, Jesus didn't appear until 2 weeks ago 😃 Perfect timing just before Easter 😀

Jesus decided to rise and choose Gilroy as the perfect destination 😍

A big THANKYOU to Dr Greg Elliott for coming to Gilroy on Wednesday evening to present his talk on Wellbeing.

It was a wonderful evening and the parents who attended gain some very valuable insight and knowledge.

GILROY PARENT COUNCIL COMMITTEE HAS POSITIONS AVAILABLE.

A start of a new year and the Parent Council is looking for Parents who want to be involved, due to parent leaving because their child have finished school.

I was going to write all the benefits of being involved in a school committee, then came across this article that sums it up perfectly.

If you're concerned it will take up too much time, please don't be!

It's not like primary school where fund raising was involved. It's about discussing issues with the school leadership team and together coming up with ideas and solutions that have a positive impact for all students, teachers and parents.

Being involved in the School committee consists of 2 x 1 hour meetings per term and most are via zoom which makes it super convenient.

We do have our AGM coming up in late March, date to be confirmed this week. It will be held on the school grounds with a guest speaker, speaking about Students Wellbeing which is super exciting.
