Kindergarten had a wildly wonderful day at Symbio Wildlife Park! 🐨🦘🐊

Despite the rainy weather, nothing could dampen their spirits! 🌧️ Our Kindergarten students had a fantastic time exploring the zoo, seeing some amazing animals up close and enjoying lots of exciting learning experiences with their friends.

A little rain certainly didn’t stop the fun, and there were plenty of smiles, laughter and special memories made along the way! 💚🐾

What a wonderful excursion for our Kindergarten students!

Today our Year 6 ILH students proudly represented Blakehurst Public School at the Ten Pin Bowling competition! 🌟

They showed fantastic sportsmanship, teamwork and determination throughout the day. We’re so proud of the way they represented our school! 👏

Well, that wraps up our winter season of PSSA League Tag! 🏉

With the inclusion of the NRL this year, the season was a great success. Our 2nd Division Senior team remained undefeated to take home the trophy 🏆, while our 1st Division Junior team finished the season strongly with a winning record.

🌟St George Performing Arts Festival 2026🌟

💖This week, our performing arts students took to the stage across all 3 concert days of the St George Performing Arts Festival, representing Blakehurst PS with pride 💖

🎵 At the Acacia Concert on Tuesday, our Junior Dance Team opened both shows with an engaging performance of their dance, “I Want You Back”. Our amazing Senior Drama Ensemble, the only drama piece included as part of this year’s festival, entertained the crowd with their item “Are We There Yet?!” And our fabulous choir students performed multiple pieces as part of the combined schools choir 🎵

💃 At Wednesday’s Banksia Concert, coordinated by our very own Mrs Wheeler, 4 of our Senior Dance Team led the entire cast as dance leaders in the first finale dance in many years, showcasing their fabulous abilities 💃

🩷💚 Last but not least, our amazing Senior Dance Team opened both shows at Thursday’s Casuarina concerts, performing their musical theatre piece “Unadulterated Loathing” to an enthusiastic audience, receiving wonderful feedback from organisers and audience members alike 💚🩷

We are so proud of our performing arts students and teachers, and can’t wait to share their talents with you at our “Blakehurst Public School’s Performing Arts Showcase” on Wednesday 26 August. Have you got your tickets? 🎟️ You don’t want to miss this ✨
