🌟💛 WHAT IT MEANS TO BE AN EDUCATOR 💛🌟

Being an educator is so much more than a job. It is being a safe place, a cheerleader, a teacher, a comforter and a role model — often all at once. 💛

Every day, our educators give so much of themselves to ensure the children in our care feel safe, supported, loved and inspired.

For Early Educators' Day, we wanted to remind our incredible team just how appreciated they are!

Our families shared their kind words on our Wall of Thanks, and we treated our educators to gift boxes and a little relaxation retreat filled with face masks, hand creams, colouring books and delicious spa-like snacks. 🧖‍♀️✨

🌿 A Wonderful Day at Bunyaville! 🌿

As part of our Kindy Funding Program, our Kindy children enjoyed a wonderful day exploring and connecting with nature at Bunyaville. 🌳🐛🍃

The children spent time walking on Country, listening, observing and appreciating the beauty of the natural world around them. It was a special opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences, connect with nature and further extend our learning beyond the classroom. 💚

To wrap up Book Week, we invited all our wonderful Carseldine families to join us for a magical Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea — and what a joyous occasion it was! 💕

There was music, face painting, collaborative art, play dough, a fabulous tea party and plenty of laughter and fun! 🎨🎶🧁

It was so special seeing our children and families come together to celebrate books, imagination and community. 📚🌈

🌱✨ ACKNOWLEDGING THE STRENGTHS WITHIN OUR TEAM✨🌱

One of the most important parts of being a strong team is recognising the unique strengths, knowledge and passions that each educator brings. 💛

This week, we handed over our Team Learning & Development meeting to Michelle, who shared a wonderful and incredibly thought-provoking session on the Circle of Security. 🫶

Circle of Security is a relationship-based theory that helps us better understand children’s emotional needs, respond with connection and security, and guide children as they develop the skills they need for life.

Michelle’s passion and knowledge gave our entire team the opportunity to reflect, challenge our thinking and deepen our understanding of connection before correction and the powerful role relationships play in children’s learning and development.

We are so proud to be a team where educators are encouraged to share their strengths and learn from one another.

A huge thank you to Michelle for sharing her knowledge with such thoughtfulness and passion. We are excited to take what we have learned and see where this next chapter takes us!

When we invest in our educators, we strengthen the relationships, learning and experiences we create for every child. ✨

Book Week has begun 📚

Celebrating books in Early Years helps create a literacy-rich environment where the children are encouraged to explore stories and develop a love of reading and most importantly show the children that their stories, ideas and voices matter.

Book week encourages children to look at books in a fun and imaginative way and that in turn help the children understand that print has meaning and letters and words carry message. It also creates a positive attitude towards reading and show it can be enjoyable.

Sharing a book creates opportunities for connection and conversation and a shared enjoyment
