We are very excited to share the news that Jayden Fernandez has again been selected in the VIC hockey squad this year.

He has been selected in the U14 State Team and will represent Victoria at the 2026 National Championships in Canberra in October.

A fantastic VSMF debut!

Our Intermediate Concert Band performed at the Victorian School Music Festival at Hawthorn Arts Centre, proudly earning a Silver Award and receiving wonderful feedback from the expert adjudicators.

Congratulations to our talented musicians, and thank you to Fine Music for this wonderful opportunity to perform, learn and grow!

What a Wakakirri experience!

It’s just been announced that we’ve received the National Award Nomination, and will be performing again at the National Awards at Frankston Arts Centre on Monday 7 September!

Our students took to the stage for the first time at Frankston Arts Centre with their original production, Guardians of Us, created and directed by three incredible Year 12 students.

We couldn’t be prouder of their creativity, collaboration and performance and the recognition they received was amazing!

Ensemble Choreography Award
Leading Cast Award – for performance in dancing & acting
Ensemble Award – for a well-performed rehearsal
Storytelling Award – for a blockbuster production style
Public Speaking Award – awarded to our three Year 12 student directors

The Wakakirri Ambassador described our young directors as “future directors and choreographers” and our production as “stirring” and “compelling.”

Spencer Mitchell (Yr 11) is currently in Shanghai China representing the Australian U18 Select Basketball team. He is playing in the Shanghai future stars tournament which will showcase some of the worlds best basketball talent for his age.

Snow Camp Adventures at Mount Hotham!

Our students are having an incredible time at Mount Hotham, making the most of every moment on the slopes! From mastering their skiing and snowboarding skills to building friendships, encouraging one another, and creating memories that will last a lifetime, it's been a camp full of adventure, laughter, and plenty of snow-filled fun.

We love seeing our students step outside their comfort zones, embrace new challenges, and experience the beauty of Victoria's alpine environment together.

Our first-ever Secondary Wakakirri is underway!

Rehearsals have officially begun for our inaugural Secondary Wakakirri performance, featuring a cast of more than 20 talented students from Years 7–12. Even more exciting, the entire production is student-led and directed by three of our Year 12 leaders, Eleanor, Jazlyn and Eden.

This year's performance, Guardians of Us, reimagines Alice in Wonderland to tell a moving story of compassion, burnout and belonging.

Our 2026 Wakakirri story follows Alice on a journey of compassion, burnout and belonging, reminding us that even the strongest guardians need someone to guard them.

Wakakirri is Australia's premier performing arts storytelling event, where students use dance, drama and creative movement to share powerful stories inspired by a central theme.

This year's theme, Guardians of Us, celebrates the people who care for and strengthen our communities.
