Tomorrow evening Thursday 18 June , Flinders Carrum Downs presents GIG Night; an evening showcase featuring our piano, vocal, drum and guitar students. This much‑anticipated annual event has been a Carrum Downs tradition for over 20 years and continues to be a highlight of the semester for our Prep-12 students. Please come along and support our talented students.

The countdown is officially on, just one more sleep until our production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!
There has been a hive of activity today as we put the finishing touches on what promises to be a truly spectacular production. From set construction and technical preparations to costumes, props and final rehearsals, the excitement is building!
A huge thank you to our incredible Maintenance Team and dedicated volunteers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to transform our theatre and bring this magical world to life. Your hard work, time and commitment are greatly appreciated.
We can't wait to welcome our audiences tomorrow and share the talent, energy and creativity of our amazing students. Get ready for a golden-ticket adventure filled with music, imagination and plenty of sweet surprises!

A truly spectacular part of this year’s production is happening behind the scenes… our LIVE orchestra!
We are incredibly proud to have four of our exceptional student musicians performing in the pit alongside seasoned professional musicians, bringing this exciting and challenging score to life. In addition, five of our amazing IMTs are also part of this incredible 16-piece orchestra spectacular!
The talent, dedication and professionalism of everyone involved has created something truly special and the sound is simply amazing!
We cannot wait for our community to experience the magic of live music and theatre coming together on stage. Bravo to all involved!
Our Year 8 students have arrived safely in Halls Gap and are already making the most of the great outdoors!
From canoeing and tree climbing adventures to getting up close and personal with some of Australia’s beautiful wildlife, the students are having an unforgettable experience already. With the sun shining and plenty of smiles all around, we can’t wait to see what the rest of camp brings!
We hope everyone has an amazing time creating memories, building friendships, and embracing all that nature has to offer.

Over the weekend we had 38 students attend the Generations in Jazz Festival, in Mt. Gambier, South Australia. We are extremely proud of our kids for all their efforts in preparation and their commitment to growth in their music. Some highlights from our students were, travelling and performing outside of Melbourne for the first time. Winning the Callisto Small Jazz Combo Spirit Award, and improving their outcomes from last year. Well done to all of our kids for a fantastic weekend, especially our Year 12s and special mention to James Bixler who was selected for the Division 3.1 Super-band (Trumpet 2).

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Bailey Marshall on a fantastic achievement!
Bailey was selected to represent Victoria in the NPP Basketball Team last night, taking on the U18 China Men in Port Melbourne, an amazing opportunity and a true reflection of hard work, talent, and dedication.
