Last week, our children engaged in meaningful experiences that explored and celebrated First Nations perspectives through play, creativity and connection with Country.

Through creative arts, mark making, flag exploration, rock painting, exploring clay, making rain sticks, music, connecting with nature, story books, sensory play, and outdoor Acknowledgements of Country, children were encouraged to learn through hands-on experiences, conversation and appreciation during their play.

These experiences helped foster curiosity, respect, inclusion and an appreciation for the voices, histories and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from an early age.

We are so proud of our little learners and dedicated educators for making learning so special! 👏

Today we pause to remember and honour the courage, sacrifice and service of the ANZACs and all who have served our country.

At Botany Park Preschool, we acknowledge this important day in a respectful and age-appropriate way, helping children begin to understand the values of kindness, bravery and remembrance ❤️

Thank you to everyone who had a go at our Guess the Eggs in the Jar at Open Day — we loved seeing all your guesses! 💛

🎉 A big congratulations to Simone, who guessed 50 & 49… with the correct number being 50! So close 👏✨

For transparency, the jar was prepared independently — no staff were involved, and only one committee member knew the correct number.
