✨ ENROLMENTS FOR OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR ARE NOW OPEN! ✨

50 years. Thousands of students. A lifetime of memories. One studio. One love of dance. 🩰🤍

Founded in 1978 by Annette Asheden, Hinterland Dance Academy has been part of the Gold Coast dance community for five decades and we have nurtured generations of dancers through quality classical ballet training, performance and a love of dance that lasts a lifetime.

Today, HDA is proudly led by current owner and Artistic Director Andrea Etheridge, who has guided the academy since 2013.

50 years later, the story continues…

In 2027, we invite a new generation of dancers to become part of the HDA story and celebrate this incredible milestone with us.

✨ 2027 ENROLMENTS ARE NOW OPEN!

📍 Emerald Lakes, Carrara

50 years of dance. 50 years of memories. And so much more to come.

Come and be part of our 50th Anniversary year. 🤍

🌹 ✨ REHEARSAL INTENSIVE WEEKEND! ✨ 🌹

We are so excited to welcome our Senior Company dancers to a big weekend of rehearsals!

📅 Saturday & Sunday
⏰ 10:00am–3:00pm each day
🩰 All dancers from IF/INT/ADV levels required

That’s 10 hours of hard work, sweat, friendship, Spanish joy and achievement as our dancers work towards our upcoming show! 🇪🇸💃

Our senior dancers don’t just learn a 3-minute year-end concert routine… they are learning an entire ballet! 🩰 🌟

It’s a lot of work. It takes commitment, stamina, discipline and plenty of rehearsal but it’s also a LOT of fun. And there’s nothing quite like the feeling of seeing an entire ballet come together. 🪭 🌹

We can’t wait to see what our Senior Company achieves this weekend! ✨

💎 Auditions this Friday! 💎

More than extra classes.

When we began designing the HDA Extension Program, our goal wasn’t simply to add more training hours.

We wanted to create a program with purpose.

One that gives dedicated dancers the opportunity to develop not only their technique, but also their artistry, confidence, discipline and understanding of what pre-professional ballet training involves.

Through personalised Individual Development Plans, mentoring, industry feedback and specialised coaching, students will be supported to become the very best dancers they can be.

Dancers who are ready to take the next step deserve the opportunity to grow in an environment that challenges and inspires them.

✨ That’s what the HDA Extension Program is all about.

💎 TAKE THE NEXT STEP 💎

Our 2027 Extension Program Auditions are coming up on Friday, October 2nd. 🩰

Created for dancers who are ready to challenge themselves and take their training to the next level, the HDA Extension Program offers a focused and supportive pre-professional environment for committed dancers.

For those accepted into the program, it will provide a taste of the standards, discipline and commitment required for pre-professional ballet training.

If you’re ready to take on a new challenge, we’d love to see you at auditions.

It’s been a very special week for Emma who spent the week in Melbourne at The Australian Ballet School for the Interstate Training Program Intensive Week. 🩵

An incredible and well earned opportunity to experience the school, take classes with the faculty, make new friends, and be surrounded by talented dancers selected from all around Australia! 🩰

Congratulations Emma! 💕
