It seems the time has come ... Carool Public School has played a vital role in the community for the past 101 years. There is much to remember and celebrate.

Tropical Fruit World was our last adventure for the year. The students were able to sample a wide variety of fruits, ride the tractor train, munch on macadamias, feed the animals, cruise along a natural waterway on a boat, play the park and enjoy lunch at the cafe. An awesome way to finish out the year.

The students have been investigating the works of Alma Woodsey Thomas who is best known for her colourful, abstract paintings. Alma taught art in schools for 35 years. After retiring at 68, Alma created her own style of art. The students have created their own works in a style similar to some of her art.

The students continued their investigation of Op Art and created their 3D paper cone drawings.

As part of National Science Week the students had the opportunity to “dance with a digital human” created by CSIRO. We were shown how they created the “human” and shown some of the ways in which a “digital human” can be used, especially with sport science and medical science.
