We are pleased to announce that our High Ropes Course is back up and operational after the devastation left by ex TC Alfred back in March.

Thanks to Steve & Tom @ for their work in redirecting cables to adjoining trees and reinstating the course to be certified and operational again.

Also to Chris @ for the professional felling of the damaged trees and Adam @ for the assistance in clearing debris and dismantling damaged sections along with our talented and experienced Camp Goodenough Family.

A huge week of clearing, cleaning and tidying up the camp. Power was restored Thursday night 7pm - fantastic effort from the Essential Energy crew sent all the way from Jindabyne/ Cooma. To our staff that were able to make it in to assist - greatly appreciated. To our families and especially our youngest Adam for his tireless efforts during the week on a chainsaw, excavator & positrack and tree chipper along with Steven, Scott, Madison, Ellie.
We are ready to receive our next school back in tomorrow morning.
Sadly - the High Ropes will have to undergo some major works and rebuild before being able to be offered as an activity. Thanks to the awesome climbing and arborist skills of Chris Fahy tree services - everything in and around the High Ropes is now safely on the ground for cleanup during the coming weeks.
Making new opportunities from what we have left standing and the other surrounding trees will be an exciting time ahead for a new High Ropes course.

TC Alfred has inflicted substantial damage to the camp. Power pole, transformer and lines have been down at the front of the camp and no power since Thursday. Trees have fallen over and substantially damaged activities (High Ropes, Leap of Faith). Fortunately no buildings have been damaged. We will be closed at least a week while we clean up and assess any further damage. We have no phones or internet at the camp. We hope all our school groups and their families are safe and we will endeavour to reschedule groups to an alternate date as soon as we are operational and contactable again.

Camp Goodenough is a family owned and operated Outdoor Adventure & Education Centre located 15 minutes drive from Gold Coast Airport at Carool NSW 2486.

We operate Monday – Friday during School Terms for School Groups from throughout South East Queensland and Northern NSW.

Established since 1984, we have bed capacity for 178 guests with all activities conducted on-site.

Our Activity Portfolio consists of the following :
High Ropes, Giant’s Playground, Leap of Faith, Indoor Climbing, Crate Stack, Giant Swing, Team Building, Team Obstacle Course, Billy Cart Construction, Archery

We are seeking motivated, professional, enthusiastic, qualified/ experienced instructors to join our family/ team at Camp Goodenough.

This role would also suit people with a background in personal training, sports coaches and outdoor adventure.

The role includes leading groups in any of the above activities along with assisting in general daily routines.

If you are passionate about working with and leading students through fun adventurous activities then we would like to hear from you.
