We are looking for volunteer students to appear in 1 - 3 short videos (1 - 2 minutes each) to talk about the benefits of speaking with alumni through informational/career interviews, the challenges and benefits of networking online and how to present yourself professionally when talking about your skills, values and key strengths.
-What is expected of you?-
Share your point of view and anecdotes of what worked, what didn't work and any practical tips or advice that you think will help and encourage others in the same situation
You will be given a briefing to prepare you but most importantly we want you to be yourself and to bring a positive energy to the filming
Filming will be next week for 3 to 4 hours on Friday 24 August.
In addition to a professional development opportunity and exposure, you will be reimbursed with a Woolworths $50 gift voucher for your time.
-To participate-

What is the Access Connections Mentoring Program?
As you approach the final year of your undergraduate study or are well into your graduate degree, you may find it overwhelming to take on important career decision-making and planning that will impact your future after the University. Having a mentor with relevant professional experience will make the transition to employment or further study an incredible learning experience.
Access Connections provides you with the opportunity to be mentored, one on one, by alumni of the University of Melbourne or a member from our University community (i.e. academics and professional staff) – someone who has been in your shoes and will guide you in preparing your best self before stepping onto the professional world. Students and mentors meet at least 3-4 times over the course of Semester 1 until Semester 2, 2018.
