💻👾 Pre-Hackathon Workshop: Responsible Vibe Coding
Join us for a practical, beginner-friendly session on “responsible vibe coding” (using AI to help you build software faster, without losing the fundamentals). You’ll see two short demos of different tools so you can choose what suits you best, then you’ll have time to start building your own mini project with support on hand.

⭐ No prior experience needed
This session is designed to be welcoming for everyone, including first-timers. You do not need prior coding or AI experience to join in. We’ll walk through the demos step by step, explain what’s happening as we go, and share practical tips to help you get started with confidence.

🧠 What we’ll cover
Kiro (VS Code): a quick look at an AI coding assistant in a real developer workflow, including a simple, practical example and tips for using it responsibly. Replit: a fast, accessible way to start coding in minutes, ideal if you want a low-setup option. Hands-on build time: use what you’ve seen to start your own hackathon idea, with tips and guidance from the team.

📅 Wednesday 29 April, 5:30pm–7:00pm
📍 Hybrid: online + in person
🎤 Presenters: Vanitha Kaliaperumal (Senior Cloud Engineer) and Saniya Kolangde (AI Adoption Specialist)
