Proverb of the Month – August: "𝑪𝒉𝒊 𝒗𝒂 𝒑𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝒗𝒂 𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝒆 𝒗𝒂 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒐."

The Italian proverb "Chi va piano va sano e va lontano" translates to "Who goes slowly, goes safely and goes far." It suggests that patience, moderation, and steadiness are often the keys to success and longevity.

The proverb teaches us that rushing through life or trying to achieve everything too quickly can lead to mistakes, stress, or even harm. Instead, moving at a steady pace allows one to proceed carefully, avoiding unnecessary risks and sustaining long-term progress.

It’s a reminder that sometimes, less haste means greater achievement. In English, a similar expression would be “Slow and steady wins the race.”

The wisdom of this saying has roots in centuries of common sense and observation, echoing the idea that balance and perseverance are more valuable than speed alone.

This timeless message encourages us to take things step by step, valuing health, safety, and endurance over immediate gratification.
