The 2026 Ruse Alumni Mentoring Program (RAMP) officially launched on 4 June, bringing together 41 alumni mentors and 87 Year 11 students in a hybrid event held at the School Hall. The program commenced with a hybrid Opening Ceremony with students attending on campus and mentors joining either in person or online from across Australia and overseas. We were pleased to welcome alumni mentors Joel Chong (1999), Tim Heng (2001) and Alice Wei (1993) who attended in person.

Now in its fifth year, RAMP provides students with the opportunity to connect with alumni from a wide range of careers and life experiences, gaining valuable insights into life beyond school through open and meaningful conversations.

A heartfelt thank you to our alumni mentors for generously volunteering their time, sharing their experiences, and supporting the next generation of Ruse students. Your contribution is what makes this unique program possible.

Thank you to:

🌟 Alumni Visit Spotlight 🌟

We were pleased to welcome back Class of 2025 alumna Adela Zhang, who recently returned to school to view her HSC Drama and Visual Arts major works now on display at two locations in Cameron Block.

Adela’s works in both subjects received prestigious HSC Showcase nominations, recognising the creativity, originality, and technical excellence of her final submissions.

Adela is currently studying at the University of Sydney and will later this year continue her studies in Paris, France. We congratulate her on her outstanding achievements and wish her every success as she embarks on this exciting next chapter in her academic and creative journey.

πŸ’œ Calling all James Ruse Agricultural High School alumni! πŸ’œ

Ruse Prefects and the school's social justice club Rainbow Ruse will be hosting the JRAHS Wear It Purple Breakfast on Friday 28 August 2026 - and we're again looking for one of our own to join us as guest speaker.

Wear It Purple Day is an annual Australian movement founded in 2010 to support LGBTQIA+ young people. It's a day for schools, workplaces, and communities to come together, show visible allyship, and remind every rainbow young person that they are seen, valued, and celebrated. This year's theme is Bold Voices, Bright Futures.

We'd love a Ruse alumnus or alumna who can speak to our students about inclusion, identity, belonging, or their own experience navigating those themes β€” at school and beyond.

If that sounds like you, or you know someone who would be perfect, please reach out to [email protected].

Let's make this one to remember. πŸ’œ
