⚽ Stage 2 Soccer Gala Day ⚽

Our Stage 2 students had a fantastic day at the North Shore Inter-School Soccer Gala Day at Koola Park, Killara yesterday.

Throughout the day, students demonstrated great teamwork, determination and sportsmanship as they competed against schools from across the North Shore. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another, giving their best effort and representing St Gerard's with pride.

A big thank you to our staff and families for their support, and congratulations to all of our players on a wonderful day of football! 👏💙⚽

⛏️✨ Gold, bushrangers, breathtaking views and plenty of fun. What a day our Stage 3 students had in Bathurst!

After an early start and a stop at the iconic Three Sisters in Katoomba, students stepped back in time to learn about life during the Gold Rush. From fascinating bushranger stories to goldfield exploration, there was plenty to discover.

Students tried their hand at gold panning, explored the blacksmith's workshop and Chinese temple, and uncovered the stories and people who helped shape Australia's history.

A wonderful day of learning, adventure and memories. We hope you enjoy these snapshots from the Stage 3 Bathurst excursion!

💙 Wellbeing Week at St Gerard's 💙

Each Term, Week 7 is dedicated to Wellbeing Week, providing students and teachers with opportunities to focus on their physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing.

Today, students enjoyed one of our favourite activities – Mentor Groups! Students from across different year levels came together for some trivia and showcased the sense of belonging that makes St Gerard's such a special community.

We look forward to more wellbeing activities throughout the week, including tomorrow's Cozy & Snuggly Day!

✨Official Opening & Blessing of Our New Building✨

Families, students, staff and special guests gathered last Friday to celebrate the Official Opening and Blessing of our new building at St Gerard’s Carlingford.

The liturgy and blessing was led by Archbishop Anthony Randazzo DD JCL in one of his final official engagements before commencing his new role at the Vatican in Rome.

We were honoured to welcome special guests, including The Hon , Mr Danny Casey, Director of Schools CSBB, Mr Dallas McInerney, CEO of , Ms , Ms , and executives from .

Our School Captains shone in their leadership role throughout the ceremony, while students from K-6 shared heartfelt reflections on what makes St Gerard’s such a special place to learn, grow and belong.

Our Principal, Mrs Barbara Yee, is incredibly proud of both the new building and the way our students represented the school throughout the liturgy and blessing.
Thank you to our dedicated school community, P&F, staff, students and special guests for making the day so memorable.

Our New Building has been thoughtfully designed to support the way children learn, grow and belong.

The new spaces include:
• Contemporary classrooms and furniture
• Spacious learning areas
• Soft-fall outdoor learning spaces
• Purpose-built spaces for small group learning, play and wellbeing

These bright and engaging classrooms are thoroughly enjoyed by our Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students each day.

At St Gerard’s, we are committed to creating learning environments where every child feels known, supported and inspired from the very beginning of their school journey.

✨Inspiring Learning in Our New Building ✨

What began as a vision for St Gerard’s has now become a bright, vibrant and exciting new learning environment for our students!

For over a term now, our Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students have been learning, playing, collaborating and growing in our brand new classrooms; and they absolutely love it!

Last Friday, we proudly celebrated the Official Opening and Blessing of the building, marking a very special milestone in the history of St Gerard’s.

Designed to support future-focused learning, the new spaces feature contemporary classrooms and furniture, collaborative learning areas and beautiful outdoor spaces that encourage curiosity and creativity every day.

This exciting project was made possible through funding from the Australian Government’s Capital Grants Program (CGP) in partnership with Catholic Schools Broken Bay.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life for our students, families and future generations of St Gerard’s.
