AI as marketing must reference the artist and the artwork they have used.

To incorporate AI as part of the artistic process seems quite ok to me. Have your idea, make something with your hands, then give AI a go! All good. If your work is being stolen you have made it in the art world in my eyes. If an artist is in art to make money then they will hardly be famous without marketing. Artists need fame to make money so AI becomes a marketing practice of your work. If your work is being stolen consider it a sign of success and you are now getting free marketing. It reminds me of a photographer taking credit for photographing a famous sculpture, they did not make it they are just looking at it. In this context, AI as the new photography then lets reference the artists whose work they use. A true collector would want to buy the original anyway.
