To begin our book week celebrations we read Wombat Stew and also learned the Dharawal names for the animals in our story. As an extension on our story we enjoyed making our own wombat stew! We all love engaging in messy sensory play! ❤

We loved exploring our story spoons to assist us in retelling one of our favourite stories The Three Little Pigs. Such a great way to promote reading and literacy in the early years ❤

Playdough with herbs was a hit! We gathered some herbs from our vege patch and added them to our playdough. A simple invitation to play that really evokes the senses.
The group were so creative using their herbs to create pizzas, cakes and even bunny rabbits!
Lots of fine motor development as we manipulated the dough and picked the herbs from their stalks.
