Last Friday our staff gathered for a meaningful Spirituality Day, taking time to reflect on the Year of Prayer and the theme of Burning Hearts. Through prayer, discussion and shared experiences, we explored how we can deepen our relationship with God and recognise His presence in our daily lives.
Inspired by the journey of the disciples on the road to Emmaus, we reflected on what it means to have hearts set ablaze with faith, hope and purpose, and how we can bring that spirit into our classrooms and school community.
We were grateful for the opportunity to pause and connect with each other in such a soulful way and beautiful setting.

Today our Year 6 students had the privilege of visiting Kids Giving Back in Woolloomooloo, where they worked together to prepare food for people in need.
The students showed incredible teamwork, compassion and respect as they learned firsthand how small acts of service can make a big difference in the lives of others. It was wonderful to see them so engaged, thoughtful and proud of the contribution they were making to the community.
A powerful and humbling experience that truly brought the value of service to life. We couldn’t be prouder of our Year 6 students 💙

Our Year 5 students have been exploring the fascinating world of animal adaptations and putting their learning into practice through creative model-building projects.
Students researched how animals have adapted to survive in their environments and then designed and constructed impressive representations showcasing these unique features. They enjoyed displaying their creativity and scientific thinking.

👣 One Conversation Can Create Lasting Change! 👣
Yesterday, our Year 3 and Year 6 students stepped out of their regular routines to participate in their own separate, age-tailored Find Ya Feet workshops! 👟✨
Dedicated to transforming how we approach connection and mental health, the team from Find Ya Feet provided our students with a powerful alternative to the old "tough it out" or "get on with it" mentality. Running in separate sessions for each grade, the workshops used the power of storytelling and connection to help our students learn how to share their own stories, listen to others and start building the empathy needed to understand what it’s like to stand in someone else's shoes.
Through authentic and age-appropriate conversations, our students were equipped with a "truckload of tools" to add to their belts-helping them learn how to own their behaviours, speak up when they need a helping hand, and support their mates. It was wonderful to see both year groups embrace vulnerability and learn that putting your hand up for help is a true sign of strength!
A massive thank you to Tommy and the Find Ya Feet team for visiting our school and empowering the next generation to have the conversations that matter.

Some Year 5 students and Mrs Gordon represented our school with many other Catholic primary schools across Sydney as they gathered in prayer at St Mary’s Cathedral for Mass of the Solemnity of Our Lady Help of Christians, the Patron Saint of Australia.
It was a beautiful occasion for our students to share in this important tradition—strengthening their connection to faith, to one another, and to the wider Sydney Catholic Schools community.

Our Year 3 students had a wonderful time participating in our Intergenerational Program that was launched last week. building meaningful connections with members of our community through shared stories, laughter and learning. 💙
Students enjoyed engaging in conversations, activities and games while developing empathy, communication skills and an appreciation for the experiences and wisdom of older generations. It was heartwarming to see the friendships forming across generations and the joy this experience brought to everyone involved.
We look forward to many more special moments together throughout the program!
