🐄 Feeding Our Farm Friends! 🐓

This week, our Joeys continued exploring our “All Things Animals” room project with a fun and hands-on animal feeding experience! 🐷🐴🐐
Our educators created a farmyard display featuring a cow, chicken, donkey, goose, pig and goat, with openings for the animals’ mouths. The children were then invited to feed their new animal friends using grass, oats and corn kernels. 🌾🌽

The Joeys loved getting involved and using their imaginations as they carefully chose what food to give each animal. This experience encouraged sensory exploration, fine motor skills, animal recognition and lots of wonderful conversations about what animals eat. 🥰

We love seeing where the children’s interests take us and watching their curiosity grow through meaningful, play-based experiences! 💚🐮

🍅🍓 From Farm to Plate! 🌱

This morning, our little Munch & Move explorers got their hands dirty in our community garden! 🌿 The children loved picking fresh, juicy tomatoes and strawberries straight from the garden and discovering where some of our food comes from.

Our Munch & Move program encourages children to develop healthy eating habits and an appreciation for fresh, nutritious foods — and what better way to learn than by growing, picking and enjoying food themselves! 💚

There’s something extra special about going from farm to plate and tasting the delicious rewards of our own garden. 🌱🍓🍅

🧪✨ Little Scientists at Work! ✨🧪

Our young explorers dived into the world of chemistry as they engaged in a hands-on science experience using test tubes, droppers, bicarbonate powder, coloured vinegar, and measuring containers. The children eagerly experimented, mixed ingredients, made predictions about what might happen, and carefully observed the exciting chemical reactions that followed.

As the colourful reactions bubbled and fizzed, the children watched with curiosity, shared their observations, and explored how different combinations created different results. This open-ended investigation encouraged questioning, experimentation, and scientific thinking through play.

Learning is always more exciting when children can experiment, predict, and discover for themselves! 🔬🌈💜
