🌿 Continuing the Conversation 🌿

Although National Reconciliation Week has come to an end, our learning journey continues. This week we are extending on the children’s interest through a variety of outdoor experiences that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, Australian wildlife, storytelling, music, art and connection to Country.

By continuing these meaningful experiences, we aim to foster respect, curiosity and a deeper understanding of Australia’s rich cultural heritage. We look forward to seeing the children explore, create and learn together through these engaging outdoor setups.

This week, our learning environments have been thoughtfully set up to support children’s understanding of Reconciliation Week and the importance of recognising and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories, and connections to Country.

Through meaningful experiences, conversations, and play-based learning opportunities, we are encouraging children to develop a sense of belonging, respect, and appreciation for Australia’s rich First Nations cultures.

This week our little learners have been exploring new flavours from our Winter Menu ❄️🍲

Trying new foods in childcare helps children build confidence, develop healthy eating habits, and learn about different tastes, textures, and cultures. From warm homemade meals to colourful vegetables and comforting winter favourites, our children have been excited to taste, explore, and share their thoughts with friends. 🥕🥔🥣

Mealtimes are such an important part of our learning environment — encouraging independence, conversation, and positive relationships with food. We love seeing children proudly trying something new, even if it’s just “one little bite!” 😊

Through these experiences, we continue to support children’s wellbeing and healthy lifestyle choices in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standard. ❤️
