It’s that time of year again. This weekend I’ll be dancing at Renaissance Retirement Living with my Monday night students, and Ruby Phoenix Fusion Belly Dance. This year it’s five dances and five costumes. It’s going to be a great afternoon!

It was a big day today at Renaissance Retirement Living’s Midday at the Oasis concert.

What a fantastic event! I was thrilled to bring some of my Monday night dancers with me, and dance with Ruby Phoenix Fusion Belly Dance as well.

I did five dances on stage, and had only four costumes, so I did manage to get away from backstage to see some of the other wonderful performers. 😉

At the end we also had some of the audience get up and dance with us too. What a joy that was!

The rain finally stopped, the sun shone, and we had perfect conditions for dancing in the beautiful Venman Bushland National Park.

To the gorgeous dancers that joined me, you were all such fun, and made the hour fly by.

Raqs Sharqi (Egyptian/Oriental belly dance) is a relaxed, fun, and beautiful art form. If you are keen to try it then I am happy to share my knowledge. Let me know your availablility and we’ll see what we can arrange. I have plenty of day-time availability.

For those that can only do evenings, Tuesday is my free night. I’ll be starting classes at 6PM. Send me a message if you have any questions, or if you’d like to start your belly dance journey.

For complete beginners to Raqs Sharqi, (Egyptian/Oriental belly dance) or those that would like a refresher course in foundation moves, I’ll be doing small day-time classes in my home studio in Capalaba. Let me know if you are interested and what days/times work for you and we’ll try to figure something out! Work during the day? Tuesday nights are currently available.
