Aircrete Domes Australia

Aircrete Domes Australia The home of Aircrete Dome Australia, we run weekends workshops at Canungra Qld. Affordable, starting from $2000 DIY ECO FUN What is Aircrete?
(1)

Pathways to build your own home offgrid, tiny house & now residential with the first council approved 90sqm build completed in Qld. Interest in building with Aircrete has never been greater than it is right now following the very first Australian Council Building Approval for a 90m2 Aircrete Dome home on the Sunshine Coast. You can build a “shed” size in your back yard (that doesn’t require cou

ncil approval), a tiny house, off-grid, small or large home, the choice is yours and the options are endless. Our team has learned from the originators of this construction method, Domegaia, and we commenced running Aircrete Dome Workshops in June 2020 from our home base in SE QLD. Since then, we have taught hundreds of people the skills required to start them off on their own dome building adventure. The Aussie dome community is constantly growing with dozens of new builds underway and at various stages of completion. So, if you like the idea of starting off debt-free, with more time for yourself and your family. If you are up for learning the skills required to build your own home with your friends, family, or community, with a construction method that won’t break your back or your bank account……and is FUN then………. ✅ Our key trainers are accredited with Dome Gia who originated the concept. Aircrete is a lightweight non-toxic material that is made simply from cement, water, and foam. The foam is produced by mixing a foaming agent with water and passing the solution through a foam generator using an air compressor. The millions of added foam bubbles are what gives Aircrete its superior insulation properties and makes for a lightweight product that is easy to build with, unlike it’s concrete counterpart. Even once fully set, Aircrete can still be cut, carved, sawn and rasped, rendering it the perfect material to create a smooth dome shape. The simple concrete and foam mix makes a most economical product for construction at a cost of around 70c per block/brick. It hardens overnight and is ready to be used for building within days but continues to harden over time. Acoustic insulation is yet another beneficial property of Aircrete, having been used for decades between floors in high-rise buildings to minimise noise.

REAL LEARNING: For all the perfectionists who have only ever worked on a square structure and have never worked with ! We had some hilarious bloopers, mistakes, breaks and many laughs over the weekend live event. Of the people who attend these events about 80% have never built before, 5% have trades or professions in the building industry and the remaining 15% more handimen & women.

Its seems a few professional who have worked in there trade forvever cant remember there first day at work! This event gives many people hope, hope that their only option for a home doesnt mean a million dollar mortagage, many use Aircrete to build sheds to have an office for their business, a spare room for an expanding family who cant afford to rent. Many women mainly use the Dome as a healing or meditation space, musos for a sound studio due to the amazing acoustics, it can be purposed as a man cave, reading room or storage as has an amazing R- rating. You can build them as a shed, off grid housing solution, tiny house for income abd a council approved residential home.

Of coarse we bring in professional to help with experience and the right qualifications where required. It will all come back to your location, zoning, design and budget.

In a time when a square house price-to-income ratio sits between 8.2 and 8.9 times the median annual household income for a complete property, while the construction cost alone to build a house sits at a ratio of about 4.2 times income (excluding land) we need options!

We are proud to be sharing information we think could help ease some pressure and provide another alternative building method. We arent a business,we dont get a wage, we do this in our spare time are a community project. Any funds recieved go back into providing infrastructure and running events.

We only do a few events a year and only one left on the weekend of October 24-25th. Its already filling up so feel free to look at our website, learn more and requests an information kit and registration for if your are interested 🤗.

WHY ARE DOMES STRUCTURES SO GOOD IN TORNADOES & CYCLONES? Domed buildings survive tornadoes because their curved, aerodynamic shape lets high-speed winds flow smoothly over and around them instead of slamming into a flat wall.

Domed buildings are exceptionally strong because their curved shape and geometric design naturally spread weight and pressure across the entire structure rather than concentrating it on vulnerable corners or joints.

Dome structures have been built for more than 21,000 years, with the earliest known examples dating back to roughly 19,280–11,700 BC.
