📚 WHO SAID BOOK WEEK WAS JUST FOR PRIMARY & INFANTS?!

Today, Canowindra High got right behind the Book Week dress-up action, and our staff decided that if the students were going to have fun, we were NOT going to be outdone!

There was some serious divine intervention in the CAPA / Science dpartments and English took a wrong turn and went down the rabbit hole with Alice. 🐰🕳️

The office ladies apparently quit🖍🖍 and if anyone is looking for Wally, don’t worry — we think we spotted a few!

We also had princesses 👑, superheroes 🦸, villains 🦹, and an assortment of questionable characters wandering the school throughout the day!

👩‍🍳🔥 Registrations are now closed!

We have 35+ students competing this year, including 15 Year 6 students from local primary schools.

We can’t wait to see everyone showcase their cooking skills! 🧑‍🍳🏆

📚Today is Australian Library Day, celebrated since 2022 to recognise the importance of school libraries in ensuring reading is a part of everyday life and that students have access to fabulous books and resources not just in Book Week, but every week of the year.

🥾On Monday, Years 9 and 10 Outdoor Education students took on the challenge of hiking Mount Nangar. In beautiful conditions, students tackled the steep and rocky terrain.

At lunchtime, students enjoyed a sausage sizzle and explored the surrounding area while their lunch cooked, discovering an old hut along the way.

The day was a great opportunity for students to build confidence, work together and demonstrate persistence and resilience in the outdoors.
