Our Pre-Kindy children have been busy exploring collage and creativity!

Through cutting, sticking, layering, and experimenting with different textures, colours and materials, the children are developing their fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence while expressing their own ideas.

We love watching their little minds come to life through open-ended experiences and seeing the pride they have in their creations!

Our creative puppet journey officially began this week as the children started designing their very own sock puppets in preparation for our upcoming SHOWCASE Evening!!

Using colourful materials, googly eyes, yarn, and their wonderful imaginations, the children explored how simple materials can be transformed into unique puppet characters.

From carefully selecting their decorations to making creative design choices, every puppet is already beginning to tell its own story.

This project is about so much more than crafting, it encourages creativity, problem-solving, fine motor development, communication, and storytelling as the children bring their ideas to life.

We can't wait to see these amazing creations evolve over the coming weeks and watch the children use their puppets to inspire imaginative play, performances, and storytelling.

Lunch is served!

Our amazing Chefs, Miss Kamilah and Miss Lucy, have been busy in the kitchen creating this delicious and nutritious Burrito Bowl for today's lunch!

Packed with seasoned beef, fluffy rice, fresh vegetables, creamy guacamole, black beans, crunchy tortilla chips, and plenty of love, this colourful meal is sure to be a hit with our little foodies 🥑🥕🌽🍅

We love providing meals that are not only wholesome and nourishing but also encourage children to explore new flavours, textures, and colours.

A huge thank you to Miss Kamilah and Miss Lucy for always going above and beyond to create meals that look just as incredible as they taste!

The Evolution of Puppets is Underway at Cannon Hill Green Leaves!

This week, our Kindergarten children have been diving into the wonderful world of puppets as they begin creating their very own Cannon Hill Green Leaves Puppet Show for our upcoming Showcase Evening!

Guided by the wonderful Miss Susma, the children explored how puppets have evolved over time and discovered different ways to create and present their own puppet show.

Their creativity was on full display as they experimented with ideas before beginning the exciting process of tie-dyeing their puppet socks, the very first step in bringing their unique puppet characters to life!

The excitement doesn't stop there! In the lead-up to our Showcase Evening, we're thrilled to welcome one of our amazing grandparents into the classroom.

They will be sharing their sewing skills with the children, teaching them how to safely use a sewing machine as they work together to create their very own handmade puppets for the performance. What a wonderful way to connect generations while building new skills and confidence!

We can't wait to see these imaginative stories come to life as our Kindergarten children proudly perform for their families during an evening filled with creativity, laughter, and celebration.

🩷💙 Celebrating National Pajama Day 2026! 💙🩷

Today we had so much fun wearing our comfiest pajamas while supporting a meaningful cause. Every dollar raised during July will go towards educational programs like the Love of Learning program, which provides reading and life-skills mentors for children in foster care.

Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make a difference. Together, we're supporting brighter futures, one pair of pajamas at a time! ✨

Celebrating One Incredible Year!

Today, we celebrated a very special milestone. Our wonderful Centre Manager, Georgia, has officially been part of the Green Leaves family for one whole year!

Our Kindergarten children made the morning extra special by surprising Georgia with a beautiful celebration, handmade cards, thoughtful gifts, flowers, and the biggest smiles. Watching the children proudly celebrate someone who makes such a positive difference in their lives was truly heartwarming.

Over the past 12 months, Georgia has led our Centre with passion, kindness, dedication, and a genuine commitment to creating a place where children, families, and educators feel supported and valued. Her leadership has helped our community continue to grow, and today was a wonderful reminder of the impact she has on those around her.

A huge thank you to our Kindergarten children and educators for making this milestone so memorable.
