Very Special Visit from Ditto!

Today at our Centre, we welcomed a very special visitor- Ditto from Bravehearts!

Ditto joined us to share an incredibly important message with our children about body safety, feeling safe, and knowing that we have control over our own bodies.

Through music, movement, dance, and meaningful conversations, our junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten children explored some very important messages about how to keep ourselves safe, recognising our feelings, understanding our personal boundaries, and knowing that our bodies belong to us.

It was wonderful to see the children engaged, involved, and confidently participating throughout the experience. These conversations are so important in helping children develop the confidence, language, and understanding they need to speak up, ask for help, and make safe choices.

A huge thank you to Bravehearts and Ditto for joining us today and helping our children learn these incredibly important life skills in such a fun, age-appropriate, and empowering way.

Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and empowered.

Pink Morning Tea at Cannon Hill! 🎀

This morning, our Cannon Hill team came together in a sea of pink to raise awareness for breast cancer and show our support for those affected by this disease.

We shared a beautiful morning tea, dressed in pink, and took a moment to come together as a team to reflect and spread an important message of awareness, support, and hope.

A very special thank you to our beautiful Chef Kamilah, who went above and beyond, as she always does, to create a gorgeous morning tea for our families to enjoy!

Your care, creativity, and love that go into everything you do never goes unnoticed. We are so lucky to have you!

Breast cancer affects so many families and communities, and moments like these are a wonderful reminder of the importance of looking after ourselves, supporting one another, and continuing to raise awareness.

Celebrating Japanese Culture Through Learning!

Our children from Nursery all the way through to Kindergarten have been enjoying a very special extra-curricular Japanese lesson with our wonderful Sensei G*i!

In celebration of our Japanese Picnic, the children have been immersed in Japanese language and culture through engaging, hands-on experiences that make learning fun, meaningful, and memorable.

From learning new Japanese words and phrases to exploring traditions, music, movement, and culture, our children have been absolutely captivated by Sensei G*i!

We love providing opportunities for our children to develop an appreciation and understanding of the diverse cultures that make up our wonderful world.

A huge thank you to Sensei G*i for sharing your knowledge, culture, and passion with our children! We can’t wait to continue our Japanese learning journey together.

Taking a moment to pause...

Life in our early learning environments can get busy! From the beautiful chaos of little voices, big emotions, learning, exploring, and everything in between, there are always a million things happening at once.

But sometimes, we simply need to pause, connect, and breathe.

Today, we took a little moment to sit together, slow down, and enjoy some quiet time with our Centre Manager. Whether it’s sharing a story, having a chat, or simply enjoying each other’s company, these little moments of connection are so important.

Leadership isn’t always about being busy or getting the next thing done. Sometimes it’s about being present, creating space for our team, and reminding each other that it’s okay to take a breath.

Because amongst all the busy moments, it’s these simple moments of connection that matter most.

Pause. Connect. Breathe. Then keep going!

Our children are loving our ongoing excursion!

There’s nothing quite like learning beyond the four walls of our Service, and our ongoing excursion has quickly become something the children look forward to each week!

From exploring nature and discovering leaves, plants, and the world around us, to collecting treasures, asking questions, sharing discoveries, and simply enjoying being outdoors together- the excitement has been incredible to see!

What makes these experiences so special is watching the children become curious, confident little explorers. They are building connections with their environment, developing a deeper appreciation for nature, and creating memories together along the way.

We absolutely love seeing their little faces light up as they discover something new!

Our ongoing excursion is definitely a favourite. We can’t wait to see where our next adventure takes us!

Sometimes all it takes is a little warm weather, curious minds, and a sense of adventure to discover the world right outside our door.

Our Junior Kindy children and Educators took the opportunity to explore our local community, following the children’s curiosity and noticing the little wonders around us.

From discovering nature to connecting with our surroundings, every step became an opportunity to learn, question, and explore.

What better way to kick-start the beautiful spring season than getting outdoors, exploring our local community, and making memories together!

Our Green Leaves excursions have officially started this week, and the children have been loving every moment- fresh air, sunshine, nature, movement, discovery, and plenty of little adventures along the way!

There is something so special about watching our children experience the world beyond the Centre, building confidence, curiosity, and a genuine connection with their community.

Our toddlers made the most of the sunshine as they explored science through sensory play, experimenting with colourful water, mixing, pouring, and discovering what happens when colours come together.
