💛 Today the sun was shining and we celebrated R U OK? Day by wearing a touch of yellow!💛

Students and staff came together at recess time to write messages and watch our amazing Associate Principal showcase his incredible balloon-making skills. Also, huge thank you to the senior school band who entertained everyone at lunch time. What a treat!

🤝 Student well-being is so important to us, and we encourage students who need it to reach out for support.

😊 So many great friendships have been forged at CVC, and it was wonderful to see students championing this important message together.

Helping Minds Wellbeing Wonderland school holiday program is coming to South Perth on 6 & 7 October.

This free two-day program gives young people aged 7–12 a safe and supportive space to connect with others, build confidence and develop practical skills to support their emotional wellbeing.

Through fun therapeutic group activities, young people will explore resilience, emotional regulation, social skills, healthy self-expression, positive coping strategies and building a sense of belonging.

The program also includes a supported excursion to Perth Zoo, giving participants the opportunity to practise social skills, build independence and confidence, strengthen peer connections and put their new skills into practice in a fun environment.

Today our students hit the track, field and sidelines for a fantastic day of competition, and house spirit

A special mention to our Year 12 students, who proudly continued the long-standing Canning Vale College tradition of wearing pink on Athletics Carnival day. Seeing our senior students embrace this tradition added an extra splash of colour and school spirit to an already memorable event! 💗

🏆 Congratulations to the Year 8 HASS class that won the Book Week quiz, collecting a full set of Mr Men books for their classroom!

⭐ Their teacher Ms D Thomas was proud of their enthusiasm and eager approach to the questions, seeing them calling out answers and helping one another.

🎉 “They were so excited to find out they were the winners!” she said. “They scored 20 out of 21, which was an impressive result.”

🔍 The quiz questions involved identifying the authors of some books, guessing the book based on its characters, and there were some funny questions about the books, such as what irritates the books the most.

📚 Enjoy your prize and, most importantly, continue your love of reading!

📸 We are working on a brand new design, with content including messages from your teachers, ‘awards’ to vote for, and new questions to answer about your time at CVC.

🌱 Today is the first day of spring!

🪴CVC's Bushranger Cadets celebrated by giving away free plants at recess, from cute cacti to everlasting flower seeds, along with instructions on how to grow and care for them.

🌿 This group of students meet after school to take part in hands-on environmental conservation projects, leadership training and outdoor adventure activities.

🐨 Bush Rangers WA is a statewide youth conservation program supported through Cadets WA and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.

⭐ It’s just one example of the great opportunities at CVC.

🎨🎭 The Kids Access All Areas Vouchers program is back!

The Kids Access All Areas Vouchers program is back, giving eligible kids aged 5-15 access to arts and cultural experiences across WA.

To give more WA families the opportunity to participate, vouchers in this round are available to families who did not receive a voucher in round one.

🎟️ Claiming your rebate is easy in three steps:
1️⃣ Reserve a voucher through the ServiceWA app
2️⃣ Purchase tickets to an eligible arts or cultural event
3️⃣ Upload your tax invoice in the app to claim your rebate

⏰ Vouchers are available until fully reserved, and families have until 31 May 2027 to redeem them.
