RED TAILED BLACK COCKATOO
Last year, many of you will remember that our Innovation Group developed a red tailed black cockatoo watering station. The station is beautifully designed to offer water during the warmer months to the red tailed black cockatoos in the area and was developed in partnership with Perth Zoo
Over the past few months, the watering station has been frequented by many species of birds. We are now pleased to say that we have photographic proof of our first ever red tailed black cockatoo using the watering station.
It is delightful to see the local fauna calling our school home.

PRAYER IN THE YARNING CIRCLE
In the beautiful sunshine and bush surrounds, our Year Five children joined with Sister Geetha who led our children in giving thanks for prayer.
Sister Geetha spoke with the children about why prayer is important to us as Catholics, not only when times seem hard, but also in the good times when we should give thanks for what we have.
The children left the space by placing some nice bright flowers at the base of the cross to honour the presence of God.
We are truly blessed at our place to have such a serene and tranquil place where we can gather.

Today marks National Sorry Day, a time to acknowledge the Stolen Generations and reflect ahead of National Reconciliation Week.
From tonight and throughout National Reconciliation Week, the Catholic Education Office in Leederville will be illuminated in purple. The colour reflects the native hibiscus, the official symbol of Sorry Day, representing compassion and spiritual healing.

NUMERO @ GOOD SHEPHERD KELMSCOTT
Last week, Ms Clune and five of our senior children had the privilege of visiting Good Shepherd Primary School in Kelmscott to participate in some games of Numero.
Amongst the beautiful surrounds of 14 acres of natural bushland, the children sat outside in the sunshine where they were given a master class on how to use the ‘wildcard’ by Ms Clune.
The children had a great time playing some games and learning from one another.
Thank you to the children and staff from Good Shepherd Kelmscott for making us feel so welcome to your beautiful school.

Played under beautiful blue skies, and in really great spirits, Sutherland Oval was the place to be!
Well done to all of the boys and girls involved, and to Ms Dreyer and Mr Lowry for leading the children.
