n Quality Training Framework (AQTF). The winner of the Australian Capital Territory’s (ACT) ‘Large Registered Training Organisation of the Year’ Award for 5 years running. In 2010 there were 28,000 enrolments across all CIT campuses and each year over 100 courses are on offer for international students to study. CIT has four campuses and two off campus Learning Centres located in various suburbs across Canberra. Courses are offered to international students at the two largest CIT campuses: Reid and Bruce. The first international student began at CIT in 1988. This student was from Fiji and he enrolled in the Advanced Diploma of Civil Engineering. Since then the international student population has grown substantially to approximately 1,500 students. CIT prides itself on offering an exciting and diverse multicultural environment with international students representing more than 86 different countries. CIT programs are designed for people who want to study for a career, gain new skills, change careers and/or prepare for further study. CIT teaches industry-relevant, work-related knowledge and skills that are practical and up to date with the latest technology and trends.
