Our Year 10 students had the privilege of hearing from a panel of inspiring alumnae, who generously shared their career journeys, life experiences and words of wisdom.

From overcoming challenges to embracing opportunities, their stories offered valuable insights and encouraged students to explore the many pathways available to them after graduation. The opportunity to ask questions and connect with our guests made the experience even more meaningful.

Thank you to our wonderful alumnae for inspiring the next generation of St Clare’s women.

And a big shoutout to Leader of Learning Careers and Future Pathways Trish Brown for her organisation of this event!

Our guest speakers were:
Charlie Cochran - UC/Architecture
Lily O’Brien - Channel 7 Journalist
Adriana Stramandinoli - Small Business owner/Make Up Artist
Sophie Batista - Hairdresser
Bella Bencic - Site Engineer
Jordan Bird - UC/Construction Management
Atika Mekki - Lawyer

R U OK? Day 2026
A simple conversation can make a lasting difference.

Today, we recognised R U OK? Day, a reminder of the importance of checking in with those around us and taking the time to connect with people who may be doing it tough. You do not need to have all the answers. Sometimes, being present, listening without judgement and showing you care can mean everything.

A massive shoutout to our senior students who welcomed their peers at the gate this morning, handed out yellow ribbon pins, cooked up a pancake storm, organised a lunchbox concert, decorated lockers with yellow hearts and encouraged students to write a kind message. We have the BEST role models here at STCC and couldn't be prouder of our students for leading with so much kindness.

Our Year 12 Students have returned from their Retreat!

This was a valuable opportunity for students to pause, reflect and reconnect with their personal and spiritual journey. Through storytelling, prayerful reflection, shared experiences and community-building activities, students were invited to consider how their time at St Clare’s College has shaped their values, relationships and sense of self. The Retreat encourages each young woman to recognise the growth that can emerge from challenges and adversity. It was an opportunity for them to celebrate their achievements, acknowledge their resilience and embrace the possibilities, purpose, and hope that lies ahead as they enter the next chapter of their lives.

A massive shoutout to our staff who worked tirelessly to make this event happen. It takes a huge amount of thought, organisation and preparation for special excursions like this. Our community is lucky to have such dedicated staff!

~ Inspirational Woman Alert! ~

Atikah Mekki (Class of 2019) recently shared her journey with us: from graduating at St Clare's to her journey to Law.

Atikah said: "To the students currently at St Clare’s: dream boldly. Do not be afraid to take opportunities that challenge you and never underestimate what you can achieve. Your path does not need to look like anyone else’s.

My all-girls education gave me confidence to speak up, leadership skills, strong friendships and, most importantly, the belief that women can take up space, pursue ambitious goals and support one another along the way."
