Ancient Engineering Meets Modern Recycling in Year 2!

Our young scholars have been bringing Classical history to life by constructing their very own Roman aqueducts using household recyclables, cereal boxes, cardboard tubes, and aluminium foil!

This hands-on project perfectly bridged two core pillars of our Classical curriculum:
History: Step-back-in-time exploration of Ancient Roman architecture, learning how master builders supplied whole cities with fresh water.
Mathematics: Real-world application of geometry, angles, measurement, and precise slope calculations so gravity can do its job and keep the water flowing.

We are so proud of our Year 2 engineers for turning everyday cardboard and foil into impressive structural marvels!

Wednesday, our team competed in the ACT Football Finals Championship alongside the top school teams in Canberra. Going in as true underdogs against squads packed with elite club and national-level talent, our boys played with incredible heart to finish an outstanding 3rd place overall in the ACT!

Every match was closely fought, including a nail-biting 1-0 semi-final loss against the eventual tournament champions.

Beyond the scoreboard, we are most proud of the character our students displayed. Facing intense pressure, the boys demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, integrity and student leadership, living out their motto: "Humble in victory; Gracious in defeat." Their conduct and fair play even earned glowing praise from rival coaches.

A huge thank you as well to the former students who came down to cheer the team on. We are immensely proud of these young men!

100 days smarter, and apparently 80 years older!

Our Kindies officially hit the 100th Day of School, and they decided to celebrate by stepping into their future selves! From grey hair and reading glasses to cardigans and walking sticks, our wise old kindergarteners brought so much joy (and a few creaky knees) to class on their 100th Day.

We are so proud of how much they’ve grown, learned, and laughed over the last 100 days. Here’s to the next 100!

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Simon Kennedy, Senior Research Fellow at AlphaCrucis University College and a leading voice in Christian education, to Covenant Christian School.

At first glance, our after-school Scrabble Club looks like nothing more than friendly competition and scattered letter tiles. But look a little closer!

Covenant’s classical approach to education means we don’t just teach subjects—we teach students how to think, analyse, and articulate. Scrabble Club is just one of the many joyful ways we pursue academic rigor and the fine art of learning, all to the glory of God.

A simple game of Scrabble is a fantastic way to hone these foundational skills. By engaging in strategic word battles, our students are training their minds in discipline, patience, and linguistic precision.

As the saying goes, "Words are the clothing of emotion and thought." Through Scrabble, our students learn to tailor theirs with precision and care.

What a beautiful morning on campus for Grandparents (Aunts, Uncles and Special Friends) Day!

It was an absolute privilege to welcome so many into our ELC and Primary classrooms today. Seeing our students share their learning journeys with the people who inspire them is a wonderful reminder of what makes our school family so unique.

Whether our guests travelled from just around the corner or from further afield, their presence brought wonderful wisdom and joy to our learning spaces. Our students were absolutely thrilled to host proud classroom tours, showcase their hard work, and share their daily school life with the people they look up to most.

A sincere thank you to our special guests for making today such a memorable time for our students, and to our staff for making this event so warm and welcoming for all.
