As part of our focus on Pathways and Aspirations, former Psychology student Hayden Alcock joined us to share his journey since graduating from college. After leaving Erindale, Hayden completed an Honours degree in Psychology at the Australian National University (ANU). He then took the opportunity to travel, working in a hospital in Tanzania, where he gained valuable insights into a different culture and the ways healthcare systems support people who are unwell, particularly those experiencing mental illness.

Now a Team Leader with the ACT Government Solicitor, Hayden reflected on his time at Erindale as a significant part of his journey. He credited the college with helping him develop the broad range of skills needed to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing world.

Creativity, collaboration and connection were on full display as our Drama students took to the stage at ACTUP 2026 at the Canberra Theatre Centre.

This year’s theme, Renewal | Decay, explored the journey of a house shaped by time before being renewed for future generations. Through imaginative movement and powerful performance, our students brought this story to life with confidence and skill.

Students also embraced opportunities to grow as learners through workshops including Clowning Around and Puppetry, developing new performance techniques while demonstrating curiosity, creativity and a willingness to challenge themselves.

A highlight of the day was seeing our Year 12 students support and mentor our Year 11 students. Their encouragement, collaboration and inclusiveness reflected the values of belonging and connection that are central to the Erindale community.

We are incredibly proud of the way our students represented Erindale College and showcased the qualities of creative, collaborative and reflective learners.

Outstanding achievement from Year 12 student Kate Lussick.

At the recent Cricket ACT Awards, Kate enjoyed a remarkable evening, taking home the prestigious SJ Moore Medal as the Women’s Premier 1st Grade Player of the Year.

Kate was also selected in the Women’s Premier Team of the Year and recognised as Cricket Blast Coordinator of the Year for her outstanding work creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for young cricketers at Weston Creek Molonglo Cricket Club.
