Applications for the 2016 Cohort are now Open!

The Australian National University and the University of Minnesota (UM) are collaborating to offer an exciting program for students interested in learning and exploring leadership and engagement on a global level. The Global Undergraduate Leaders Program (GULP) is an innovative cohort-based leadership program for student leaders at the Australian National University. We are excited to begin the process of selecting students for our third cohort!

This 'not for credit' year-long co-curricular program will connect successful GULP applicants with their peers at UM. Students will collaborate virtually to embark on a leadership journey providing opportunities to enhance cross-cultural communication and global awareness. GULP includes a two-week trip during Summer break where ANU students will meet UM students in person and jointly work on a project.

Student Experience and Transition - Global Undergraduate Leadership Program 2016

After a year of working with our teams on leadership, our three cultures came together, Malawians, Americans and Australians at Maji Zuwa, Malawi. In one short week this amazing team created something special, a three day leadership camp for over 200 Malawian high school students sponsored by Determined to Develop. They demonstrated exceptional teamwork through listening and supporting one another, and demonstrated resilience and flexibility when things didn't go according to plan. What each team member has given has been received three-fold from the value they placed on each and every student and was demonstrated through engagement and participation during sessions. The team rocked it and I am incredibly grateful to work with such a wonderful group of people. Thank you 2015 Global Undergraduate Leaders!

The airport meet up with our UMN colleagues. We are all now at Maji Zuwa developing our leadership workshop to present to Malawian youth next week.
