Opening this Saturday at Tyger: To Share, a solo exhibition by Alexa Kalo (Class of 2021)

There’s a moment during every gathering when everyone is still at the table. The food is being shared, glasses are full, conversations are flowing, and nobody is in a hurry to leave.

To Share sits within that moment.

Following a wonderful response to her work at Affordable Art Fair Melbourne, Radford Collegian Alexa Kalo's new series of tablescapes celebrates the beauty of connection, conversation, colour, and the everyday rituals that bring people together. Her paintings look closely at what a table holds while people are still gathered around it: food, wine, pattern, eye contact, conversation, and the small details that become part of how we remember being together.

Alexa was the recipient of the 2025 Tyger New Ground Award, selected from the ANU School of Art & Design graduate exhibition. Since then, we've been fortunate to work closely with her, including presenting her work at Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Now, we're proud to present Alexa's first solo exhibition with the gallery.

The Pre-Kindergarten Wagulan class recently welcomed Radford Collegian Soraya Sullivan (Class of 2024) back to Radford for a special dance workshop at the Radford Dance Academy.

Soraya is studying and training at the prestigious English National Ballet School in London, Soraya shared her passion for ballet through performances, storytelling and creative movement activities. The children explored how dance can express emotions, inspire others and bring joy, linking beautifully to their Unit of Inquiry, How We Express Ourselves.

A highlight of the day was collaborating with Soraya to create and perform a dance inspired by Vivaldi's Winter. To top it all off, Soraya gifted the class a pair of her signed pointe shoes, which will be treasured in the classroom.

Congratulations to Brianna Williams (Class of 2012) on being named ACT People's Choice Auctioneer for the third consecutive year at the REIACT Awards.

A favourite among Canberra sellers, buyers and bidders alike, Brianna's commitment to excellence, authenticity and client service continues to set her apart.

"To be recognised by the community this many times makes me so thankful to Canberra and the surrounding region. I still have so much more to give and learn, and it's nice to know you guys have my back."

Brianna is also passionate about creating greater opportunities for women in the industry, championing the next generation of female auctioneers across the ACT.

This September, the halls, pathways and gathering places of Radford College will once again be filled with familiar faces as we warmly welcome the reunion classes of 1996, 2006 and 2016 back to where so many lifelong memories began.

Returning to school can be a deeply nostalgic experience. The classrooms may have changed, new buildings may have emerged, and the students walking through the grounds today belong to a new generation, but the spirit of connection that defines Radford remains unchanged.

For the Class of 1996, it has been 30 years since graduation. For the Classes of 2006 and 2016, 20 years and 10 years respectively. Each group carries its own unique memories of school life, friendships, achievements, challenges overcome, and moments that helped shape the people they are today.

These reunions are more than an opportunity to reconnect with former classmates and teachers. They are a celebration of shared experiences and enduring friendships, a chance to reflect on personal journeys, and an opportunity to return to a place that played an important role in those stories.

As alumni walk through the College gates once more, many will find themselves remembering the small moments that often leave the biggest impressions: conversations between classes, performances on stage, sporting triumphs, school camps, graduations, and the friendships that have stood the test of time.

The Radford community extends far beyond graduation day. It is a community that continues to grow, connect and support one another across generations. Our reunion celebrations are a reminder that while years may pass, the bonds formed at school remain strong.

We look forward to welcoming back the Classes of 1996, 2006 and 2016 this September and celebrating the memories, achievements and connections that make Radford College such a special place.

Radford Collegian, Omer Siddiq (Class of 2017) is using his business to make a difference in the local community.

The owner of has partnered with to launch a limited-edition S'mores gelato, with 100% of proceeds donated to support local families in need. The initiative reflects Omer's commitment to giving back to the Canberra community that helped shape his journey from student to entrepreneur.

Congratulations to Sophie Hope-White, Class of 2021 whose performance as Cosette in Queanbeyan Players' production of Les Misérables has been recognised as one of the standout performances of the show.

The acclaimed musical, played at The Q, Queanbeyan received glowing reviews, with critic Bill Stephens praising Sophie’s portrayal alongside the production’s leading talent. Appearing opposite Alexander Unikowski as Marius, Sophie brings warmth, elegance, and charm to one of musical theatre’s most beloved roles.

This innovative production has been described as a "high-water mark" for Queanbeyan Players, and Sophie’s performance is a shining example of the outstanding local talent on display.
