🎤Perseverance and determination
ADFA welcomed Australia’s first Winter Olympic Gold Medallist Steven Bradbury OAM to deliver the annual Petro Fedorczenko Memorial Lecture.
Bradbury shared an important message with our Trainee Officers about the role resilience, hard-work and never giving up played in his success, reinforcing how these same qualities are fundamental to leadership, particularly when navigating adversity.
We are proud to have such an iconic Australian come to our campus and share their wisdom and experience with the future leaders of Australia’s Navy, Army and Air Force!

Rain or shine, ADFA Trainee Officers raise the flags over our parade ground in a tradition steeped in service and sacrifice.
This is also one of the most picturesque parts of our campus located in the beautiful bush capital!

Today, on Anzac Day, ADFA held a dawn service to acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of our current and former service men and women who have served and died in all conflicts.
We also recognise our allies who have served alongside them.
Lest we forget.

The ADFA Rams AFL Club have released a special edition Anzac Round Guernsey for their upcoming clash against the Australian National University.
The design incorporates poppies, ferns, and the Ode, paying tribute to remembrance, service, and the enduring Anzac spirit.
We were privileged to have GWS Giants star Tom Green and ADFA graduate and Adelaide Crows AFLW ruck, Captain Jess Allan, present these Guernseys to those selected to represent the ADFA Rams on Anzac Day.

📣 UNSW Canberra × Australian Defence Force Academy | Meet Marvin V2 and the RAS Team 🚀🤖
Our joint UNSW Canberra Robotics & Autonomous Systems (RAS) Team, made up of students from both ADFA and non‑military study pathways, has returned from last week’s Australian Rover Challenge with an incredible 4th‑place finish! 🎉
Competing with their upgraded semiautonomous rover, Marvin V2, the team successfully completed tasks in autonomous mapping, construction, and resource analysis on a simulated lunar surface 🌕🔧
Across four specialised subsystems - Science, Electrical, Mechanical, and Software - the team worked together to design, build, and operate the rover throughout the challenge.
This year’s event featured 17 Australian teams, plus international competitors from Poland, Indonesia, India and Kazakhstan 🌏making the achievement even more impressive.
A huge congratulations to the entire RAS Team for their innovation, teamwork, and outstanding effort. We’re proud to share this success together and look forward to what’s next! 🙌✨
