Ex WA cop under more charges

A former Western Australian cop turned champion powerlifter accused of plotting to cut off a man’s hands and tongue is facing additional charges of drug and weapon possession.

Bradley Leslie Humble (above) appeared in Bunbury Magistrate’s Court on Thursday morning on seven new charges — two counts of unlawfully possessing a controlled or prescription drug, two counts of unlawfully possessing a prohibited weapon and three counts of possessing a prohibited drug.

While the 41-year-old did not physically appear in the courtroom due to being on house arrest for his other ongoing charges, his lawyer indicated to the court Mr Humble had provided endorsed pleas of not guilty to all offences.

While no details of the charges were read to the court, it is understood the charges took place five days after the alleged 2022 torture scheme.

No details were given on whether the two matters were related.

Mr Humble is set to reappear in court on January 16 for a mention-only hearing, to line up with his next appearance for the other charges.

wife of a senior Norther Territory cop charged in relation to the fatal helicopter crash that killed Outback Wrangler cast member Chris Wilson, is facing serious charges including making threats to kill.

The accused, a cop herself, allegedly broke into a building, assaulted and threatened to murder a person inside.

Senior Sergeant Sandi Mellon (above), the officer in charge of NT Water Police, has been served a summons to appear in court over the alleged attack.

She is the wife of senior NT police officer Neil Mellon (below) who was charged in relation to the fatal helicopter crash in West Arnhem last February that killed Outback Wrangler cast member Chris “Willow” Wilson.

It is understood the incident occured on August 26 in Darwin.

Police allege Mrs Mellon trespassed and broke into a building, assaulted a person and threatened to kill them.

She was also charged with disorderly behaviour, and it will be alleged the obscene language was loud enough to be heard from the street.

NT Police said the woman remained a serving officer, but would not clarify if she remained in her regular duties.

She will appear in Darwin Local Court on February 15 to face the charges of unlawful entry, trespass, assault, making a threat to kill and disorderly behaviour.

“This information is provided in accordance with NT Police Transparency Guidelines,” a NT Police spokeswoman said.

The NT ICAC and the NT Ombudsman are aware of the investigation.

This is the second officer to be charged this month, with a 54-year-old male officer charged with three counts of dangerous driving.
