🏀 BASKETBALL 🏀
On Wednesday, a group of Year 6 girls competed in the Sue Geh Cup. We had varying levels of ability within the team, with some experienced basketballers and some who were keen on giving the sport a go.

One common theme was our tenacity; we played bravely and fairly with our main goal being enjoyment. The girls made it to the play offs where they were knocked out by Ngunnawal.

Thank you to the parents who came to support. It's always great to connect with our community in different settings!

On the final day of Term 2, we gathered in the Hall to acknowledge NAIDOC Week - presented by 1 Teal. This year's theme is '50 Years of Deadly'. For fifty years, NAIDOC Week has celebrated the voices, cultures, achievements and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

During NAIDOC Week we honour the Elders, leaders, artists, activists and communities who have strengthened culture and inspired future generations. May we honour the stories of the past, celebrate the achievements of today, and work together for a brighter future.

YEAR 6 SCIENCE - CHANGING HABITATS
This term, our Year 6 students became scientists, geographers and engineers as they planned and constructed their very own 3D habitat. Locations were chosen from our beautiful Australian landscapes:

Our students worked extremely hard on their projects, and don't they look amazing!

There was a buzz around St Joseph's at midday... The CommBank Socceroos were in action against Paraguay, and were lucky enough to secure their spot in the knockout stages. A great supportive effort from our students, and Mr Tarrant! 💚💛

This morning we gathered in the Hall for St Joseph's very first Semester Awards ceremony. Students were called up in grade order to receive their award under these four categories:

Congratulations to all students who were recognised for their excellence in academics, commitment to learning, and service to others in our school community!
