The Eco Koala Gang learnt about reusing materials at Wonderschool Throsby today! We explored how we can create new things from old, such as musical instruments made from yoghurt tubs and lids! We saved items from landfill and created amazing artworks using paper shopping bags, lids, newspaper, wool scraps and fabric scraps. Wonderful job everyone!

It was an exciting day for the Eco Koala Gang at Wonderschool Early Learning today! We got to taste our first harvest! The children have worked hard to care for their plants over the weeks and were able to sample their lettuce and parsley as a result. Delicious!

Thank you Artemis Early Learning Throsby for hosting the Eco Koala Gang today! The children played sustainable sports! Sporting events featured milk bottle bowling, the lid toss and lid discus, all created from recycled materials! Thanks to the Goodies Junction for the extra balls!

We investigated what endangered animals are and how we can help them in the Eco Koala Gang at Wonderschool Early Learning today! The children explored how cutting down forests, pollution in waterways and rubbish can all harm animals. We brainstormed ways to help and made some wonderful artwork out of recycled paper shopping bags and newspapers.

The Eco Koala Gang learnt about endangered animals today at Wonderschool Throsby! We explored how we can help animals by putting rubbish in the bin and reusing paper to save trees. The children made some wonderful Koala themed artworks using recycled paper shopping bags and newspaper. Well done everyone.

We were back in the garden in the Eco Koala Gang at Wonderschool Early Learning today. The children aerated the compost and added newspaper, checked on the worm farms and tended to their veggie garden. They are doing an amazing job caring for the plants and they are almost ready to pick lettuce and parsley. Well done everyone!

The Eco Koala Gang learnt how to save paper at Wonderschool Early Learning today. We investigated where paper comes from, how it is made and why trees are important. We brainstormed ways to save paper and made some wonderful drawings using recycled paper shopping bags as canvases.

The Eco Koala Gang learnt about beautiful butterflies at Wonderschool Throsby today. We explored butterfly life cycles and how they help with pollination. The children made some wonderful artworks using corn flour paint and second hand butterfly and flower shaped cut outs. Thanks Goodies Junction for the cut outs!

We got our hands dirty in the Eco Koala Gang at Wonderschool Early Learning today! The children cared for their veggie garden, checked on the worm farms and added newspaper to the compost bins. We investigated what plants need and how to help them grow. Well done everyone!
