The Eco Koala Gang made recycled artwork from paper at Wonderschool Early Learning today! We investigated what paper is made from, how it is made and why trees are important. We reused a variety of paper to make some amazing colourful artworks! The canvas was packing paper and the colour came from the Queanbeyan West Public School disco decorations! Thanks for sharing the decorations for reuse and helping us to keep resources in circulation for longer. Safe to say the children loved the bright colours and had a great time creating their masterpieces!

Thank you Guardian Childcare & Education Bruce for hosting the Eco Koala Gang today to turn 'trash into treasure'! We explored how we can reuse everyday items to make new things such as instruments and art. The children used paper shopping bags, wool and fabric scraps, lids and newspaper to make some wonderful artworks. Well done everyone!

The Eco Koala Gang investigated how to save paper at Wonderschool Throsby today! We learnt about why trees are important, how paper is made, and brainstormed ways to save paper. We used recycled paper including paper shopping bags and 'packing paper' to create some wonderful drawings. Well done everyone!

It was a spectacular day for the Platy Party today! We had a great time running the Platypus Investigators workshops. We learnt about the platypus, hunted like a platypus, explored how 'loops' can be a threat if platypuses become entangled, and created platypus toys to take home! The toys were made from upcycled and second hand materials including socks, textile waste, elastic bands, and buttons. Well done everyone! The Eco Koala Gang had a great time caring for the garden at Wonderschool Early Learning today. We tasted some lettuce and parsley, noticed the flowers on the snow peas, turned the compost and looked after the worms. Well done everyone!

The Eco Koala Gang had a great time in the garden at Wonderschool Early Learning today. We munched on lettuce and parsley, turned the compost and added autumn leaves, and looked after our worm farms. The garden is blooming! Well done everyone.

The Eco Koala Gang played sustainable sports today at Wonderschool Throsby! We repurposed everyday items to make some fun sporting activities. There was milk bottle bowling, the lid toss and discus using old lids. Well done everyone!
