We explored emotions through art in the Eco Koala Gang at Wonderschool Early Learning Conder today. We brainstormed different emotions, read a story and talked about how the characters were feeling and made some wonderful art work to show our favourite emotion. The children used paper shopping bag canvases, lids for eyes, fabric scraps for noses and wool scraps for the mouth to depict their emotion. Well done everyone.

The Eco Koala Gang had another great morning making seed tape at Artemis Early Learning Throsby. The children explored how plants grow, why bugs love flowers and how bugs help people. We are looking forward to seeing the flowers grow.

Thank you Guardian Childcare & Education Bruce for hosting the Eco Koala Gang today to learn about flowers. We explored how flowers grow, why they are good for insects and made seed tape with marigold seeds to plant in the garden. Well done everyone.

The Eco Koala Gang explored emotions at Wonderschool Throsby today. We read stories and sang songs to explore different emotions and then we made some wonderful artworks. The children used recycled materials to make faces to show either how they were feeling or their favourite emotion. This is a great example of how sustainability can be used as a cross curricular teaching tool.

We had another great day in the garden at Wonderschool Early Learning Conder today. We cleaned out the worm farm collection trays, watered the plants and were excited to find our first snow peas have started to grow!

Thank you Precious Momentz for hosting the Eco Koala Gang today for a recycled art class! We explored how we can keep items out of landfill and reuse them to make new things. The children made some wonderful artworks using paper shopping bags, newspaper, wool scraps, fabric scraps and lids! Well done everyone!

The Eco Koala Gang made upcycled scarecrows at Wonderschool Early Learning Conder today! The children did a wonderful job working together to make the scarecrows to protect their veggie patch. We used second hand clothing, plastic pots and bottles for stuffing, old oars for the head and body, and old curtain strings to fasten everything. Nice work everyone!

Thank you Artemis Early Learning Throsby for hosting the Eco Koala Gang today to learn about buzzy bees! We explored how they help our food to grow and make honey and we made some amazing bee-themed artworks from recycled materials. Well done everyone.

The Eco Koala Gang learnt about insects at Guardian Childcare & Education Bruce today! We investigated why they are important and how they help the planet. The children used recycled materials to create insect homes for their favourite insects to live in.
