Celebrating the Feast Day of St Monica, an incredible woman who showed unwavering persistence,perseverance,patience and a deep love for God and others. We started the day with Mass and now we are engaging in activities that show us how she lived out these charisms.

🌟 Year 4 First Holy Communion Retreat 🌟

What a beautiful day of faith, friendship and learning as our Year 4 students from St Monica’s, St Michael’s and the Parish School of Religion came together at St Michael’s, Kaleen, for their First Holy Communion Retreat.

The retreat provided an opportunity for our students to prepare their hearts and minds for the special sacrament of First Holy Communion. Through icebreakers, engaging activities, shared meals and prayer, students built new friendships and strengthened their connection as a faith community.

A particular focus was the Gospel story of The Last Supper, which the students explored through the Worlds of the Text, Godly Play and Visio Divina. These experiences encouraged the students to listen deeply to Scripture, reflect on Jesus’ gift of the Eucharist and consider what this special sacrament means in their own lives.
