A special highlight was the opportunity for our leadership team to share Bright Future Early Learning Belconnen's Philosophy Review Journey with fellow educators and leaders through the Preschool Practice Coaches (PPC) network. It was an honour to showcase how authentic collaboration with children, families, educators, and the community helped shape a living philosophy that continues to guide our daily practice and decision-making.

This week, children engaged in a meaningful exploration of ANZAC Day, developing an understanding of its importance in honouring the brave soldiers who served and sacrificed.
They listened to the Anzac Ted story and shared Lest We Forget, helping them reflect on remembrance in an age-appropriate way. The children expressed this learning creatively by making poppy brooches, symbolising respect and gratitude.
Together, we observed a one-minute silence, giving the children a quiet moment to reflect. They also learned how to perform a respectful salute, gaining a deeper understanding of how we show honour and appreciation.
The experience continued with baking traditional ANZAC cookies, connecting history with hands-on learning and shared enjoyment.
It was a day of reflection, creativity, and growing awareness of their role in remembering and honouring those who served.
Lest we forget.
