How is your unconscious talking to you

31/07/2026

You've seen this. Clients hit their goal weight and then sabotage! You're just as frustrated as them.

A little secret it isn't asking them to diet harder or train more.

It's their unconscious drivers and that's what I teach in Empowered Eating the Psychology of Weight Loss and Binge Eating Recovery.

Today is session number 7, I can't believe we only have 1 more week together.

If you would like the replays for only $97 comment below as this price is limited until my next launch!

Your success will change when your relationship with failure does.

I am extremely comfortable with failure.

I have failed in business.
I have failed in life.
I have even failed lifts on the world stage in powerlifting.

But I do not make failure mean anything about who I am.

It does not mean I am not capable.
It does not mean I am not good enough.
It means I have been brave enough to try.

I have learned to fail faster.

I look for the lesson.
I take the learning.
I make the adjustment.
Then I pick myself back up and go again.

Because the more willing I am to fail, the more opportunities I create to succeed.

Fail. Learn. Get up. Go again.

Binge eating often soothes an underlying emotion. Instead of eating your feelings, take 5 minutes to simply feel them. Identify where the emotion sits in your body. This simple step away from the kitchen can break the cycle.

Discover how changing your self-talk with mantras like 'I am a Ferrari' can help you achieve your goals. Learn to reprogram your brain for success, one powerful phrase at a time. It's safe to be successful.

Even on a clear day, clouds move through the sky. The sky doesn't hold on. This is your brain. Let your thoughts and emotions float by like clouds, instead of getting stuck.

Your brain is like the sky, letting thoughts and emotions pass through. Instead of holding onto what brings you down, allow them to float by like clouds. Embrace this expansiveness for new possibilities and creative thinking.

Today, after walking up Mt Ainslie with one of my beautiful Strawberry Friends, I stopped at a little coffee shop, pulled out my journal and gave myself time to breathe.

Not because I had nothing else to do.

Because I have so much to do, and I know I show up better when I take care of myself first.

As mums and women, we can spend so much time caring for everyone else that we forget to nurture our own soul. We keep pushing, our stress builds, our cortisol stays high, and food can easily become the quickest way to escape, switch off or finally feel like we are getting something for ourselves.

But food does not have to be your only escape.

A walk.
A coffee alone.
Time with a friend who lifts you up.
Journaling.
Quiet.
Space to hear yourself think.

These are not selfish luxuries. They are emotional regulation.

Taking time out means I can return to my family more present, support my clients with more energy and continue driving my mission of Empowered Eating: The Psychology of Weight Loss and Binge Eating Recovery.

I want my daughters, my clients and every woman watching me to see that taking care of yourself is not something you earn after everyone else is okay.

Sometimes, taking time out is exactly what allows you to become the woman everyone else can rely on, without losing yourself in the process.

This is me leading by example.

Nurture your soul before you need food to help you escape from your life.

You can leave the job.

End the relationship.

Avoid the conversation.

Remove every tempting food from the house.

Wait for the other person to change.

And sometimes, creating distance is absolutely necessary.

But avoidance alone does not always create growth.

Without understanding the deeper pattern, the same experience can return with a different person, workplace, relationship or food.

Different circumstances.

Same emotional trigger.

Same response.

Same lesson waiting to be learned.

Perhaps the lesson is stronger boundaries.

Perhaps it is learning to stop people-pleasing.

Perhaps it is staying true to yourself when someone else wants something different.

Perhaps it is learning that discomfort does not mean you are unsafe.

This was one of the biggest takeaways from Session 5:

We keep repeating what we have not yet understood.

Behaviour change is not simply about removing the trigger.

It is about developing the internal resources to respond differently when the trigger appears.

This is the work we explore through Empowered Eating™: The Psychology of Weight Loss & Binge Eating Recovery.

Helping PTs and wellness coaches confidently support emotional eating, self-sabotage and behaviour change within scope of practice.
