Our current doctor/medical dramatic play 🩺🩻🥼 the children love the real X-rays! Bush medicine information has been incorporated as well as some of the medicines unique to a few of our friends. This helps promote understanding of individual needs. My Canva account has been getting a workout 😂

As we edge closer to Early Childhood Educators day, please remember your children’s educators don’t just work when the children are there.

I’ve clocked up close to half of my Sunday making resources to support further learning and embedding First Nations perspectives. Educators often don’t have the best work-life balance because they really do want to provide children with the best opportunities in their care.

They do it because they care 🥰

The greatest measure of what I do has never been the activities, the resources or the environment. It's always been how the children feel when they're here.

Today one of my little friends asked, "Leah, do you know the best daycare ever?"

I said, "No."

He smiled and said, "This one right here."

Knowing he also attends an incredible local preschool made those little words mean more than he'll probably ever know. ❤️

Congrats to all the amazing Family Day Care Educators nominated. It’s nice to see so many Communities At Work names represented there too. Family Day Care Educators rarely get the recognition deserved from higher levels, so initiatives like this from FDCA are so important.
