Congratulations to alumni Tom Staniforth (CGS 2012) and Nick Champion De Crespigny (CGS 2014), who played in the Nations Championship Wallabies vs France game on Saturday night. Both played for CGS during their time at the School and credit their school rugby as foundational for their professional rugby careers.

In early May, three CGS alumni, Maya, Winnie, and Ella (CGS 2025), returned to Northern NSW as volunteers on Canberra Grammar School's tenth service-learning trip to the region, joining a group of Year 10 students and staff.
It was a full-circle moment. All three once did this very trip themselves as Year 10 students. This time, as recent graduates, they came back as mentors and role models, supporting the next group through visits to Myall Creek, reflecting on truth, justice and reconciliation, and a week working alongside Tingha and Minimbah Public Schools.
Their maturity, energy and insight added real depth to the experience and showed what's possible when alumni stay connected to CGS.

A massive congratulations to Tom Staniforth (CGS 2012) on earning his first official international cap for France as they take on New Zealand in front of a sold-out Stadium in Christchurch, New Zealand this weekend, on Saturday 4 July.
With this, Tom becomes the first-ever French international rugby player alumnus in our 97-year history. Go well, Tom, and best of luck to you and the French national rugby team in the Nations Championship Cup. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and look forward to following your continued success on the international stage.

A huge congratulations to CGS alumnus, Marko Sever, on his journey to completing his Master's in Conducting. Canberra Grammar School had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Marko back to the School in 2022 for a breathtaking digital pipe organ performance as part of the grand opening of the Snow Concert Hall. It is always a wonderful experience to follow the experiences of our alumni as they move beyond the School and make their marks on the world.

Recently, CGS Rugby hosted its Alumni Round and Indigenous Round, in a fantastic day that brought many CGS Alumni back to connect with the wider CGS community. We celebrated once again alongside Daramalan College in what is becoming a long-standing tradition. To mark the occasion, Daramalan proudly competed in its Indigenous jerseys, while CGS wore its traditional navy jersey for the first time in recognition of our alumni. Indigenous flags were painted on Main Oval, and a smoking ceremony was led by Brother Richard Allan. It was a meaningful occasion that celebrated community, connection, culture, and the rich history of Canberra Grammar School. A big thank you to Daramalan College and the community for joining us.
Canberra Grammar School is seeking donations of pre-loved uniforms to support this year’s female exchange students visiting from Scotland and England.
We would be very grateful for donations of:
• Senior girls’ skirts
• Rugby uniforms
• Netball uniforms
These students will be joining our school community for several weeks, and access to uniforms helps them feel welcome and fully involved in CGS School life during their stay in Australia.
If you have any items in good condition that you would be willing to donate, please contact our Global Programmes and Partnerships Coordinator, Sarah Payne, at [email protected], or drop them into Senior Reception for Ms Payne to collect.
Thank you for helping us continue the strong spirit of hospitality and international connection that has long been part of the CGS community!

It was a truly wonderful Alumni Reunion last Saturday, and we were delighted to have so many return to the School to visit the campus, tour, reminisce, reconnect with former peers, and support the CGS Sport Programme. As always, our Alumni engagement with the reunions and the School community is greatly appreciated.
With much gratitude,
