I am very lucky to come to Australia, which makes me feel warmer than ever before.
Now I like what Haruki Murakami said: "you have to remember the people who hold you silently in the dark, the people who make you laugh, the people who chat with you all night, the people who come to see you by car, the people who take you around and say they miss you.
It is these people who make up 1.1 drops of warmth in your life, it is these warmth that keep you away from the haze, it is these warmth that make you a kind person.

Life is always full of surprises and losses, there are just the right encounters and heartbreaking nostalgia, but time always moves forward without a trace of pity, whether the play ends or continues, may you be able to dream as a horse, live up to this life.

Meraki Greek Dance group has merged with the Canberra Hellenic Dancers. With this, there are a few changes we want you to be made aware of:

1. The page will be disabled, please like the Canberra Hellenic Dancers page for future notices ---> https://www.facebook.com/CanberraHellenicDancers

2. We will be trialling a combination of our beginner and advanced classes. The time will be 6:00pm - 7:00pm every Wednesday. If you have any questions, concerns or feedback about this, please let us know.

3. Email correspondence will now be coming from the Canberra Hellenic Dancers email address ([email protected]). We will have our Meraki mailbox forwarded to that one for future reference.

4. The Meraki Greek Dance Group page will be disabled. We will leave it open for a couple of weeks for people to 'Like' the Canberra Hellenic Dancers page.

Thank you all for your support over the past 3 years. Let's continue learning the beauty of our culture through dance.

Good morning all,

Unfortunately due to the current status of the Coronavirus, we have made the tough decision to cancel Greek dancing classes for tomorrow 18 March 2020.

We have a duty of care to protect our dancers from the spread of infection. Given what we know about the virus spreading from close contact and physical proximity and due to the unpredictability of the virus, we believe it is best not to put you all at risk tomorrow.

The number of cases in Australia will continue to increase and the best thing we can do to decrease the rate of infection is engage in social distancing practices.

We will reassess the situation over the next week, and will continue to do so on a week-by-week basis. Keep a lookout for emails, text messages and Facebook posts about dancing in the coming weeks. Hopefully we will be back to normal soon!

Due to a lack of available rooms, we have had to cancel tonight's classes. We apologise for the inconvenience and for needing to cancel on such short notice, we have only just been made aware of the situation.
