Boutique early learning experience for children aged 6 months – 5 years 🦉

An exciting excursion to Questacon earlier this month for the Apollo Room! 💡

Throughout the excursion, the children immersed themselves in hands-on experiences, investigating water, movement, light, sound and reflections, while discovering incredible natural events such as volcanoes, tornadoes and earthquakes occur. 🌋

They also enjoyed an interactive dinosaur presentation, learning about fossils, palaeontology, and what makes an animal a dinosaur. 🦕

It was wonderful to see the children’s curiosity come to life as they experimented, asked questions and discovered something new around every corner. A day full of wonder, learning and adventure!

The children in the Apollo Room recently got creative and wonderfully messy! 🎨

Painting fabrics hung from the trees, the children experimented with roller brushes, textured sponges and even recycled bottles filled with paint to create a range of beautiful patterns. They also explored flower and vegetable printing, discovering the different shapes, textures and patterns they could create.

A joyful, hands-on experience filled with colour, curiosity and creativity — letting their imaginations bloom as we welcome spring! 🌸

A glimpse into Book Week across Hellenica and Botanica. 📚

Directors Athena and Tarni, along with Assistant Directors Martina and Anna, were inspired by The Story Orchestra: Four Seasons in One Day, standing in front of the beautiful artwork in reception that explores the changing seasons. 🌻

The Tree Tops embraced the Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site theme. Meanwhile, in The Canopy the children drew inspiration from the book A Good Place.

At Hellenica, the children in the Amalthea Room had been showing a growing interest in animals, sounds and song. So, for Book Week, they brought the much-loved world of Old MacDonald Had a Farm to life! 🚜🐷

The Artemis Room dressed up as a book favourite, The Very Hungry Caterpillar! 🐛

The Apollo Room also stepped into the beautiful and imaginative world of The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. With the children recently exploring space, planets, stars and the universe, the story was a wonderful fit for their interests. The children came dressed as characters and ideas inspired by the story, bringing its magical universe to life through their own creativity and imagination. 💭

A wonderful celebration of stories, imagination and the joy that books brings to children! 💫

Creativity is woven into every corner of Botanica. 🌿

In our dedicated Art Studio, children work alongside a specialist Art Teacher to explore drawing, clay, paint, construction, natural materials and a variety of creative expressions. 🎨

Through these hands-on experiences, children are encouraged to represent their ideas, revisit their thinking, and communicate through the many languages of childhood. 🖌️

The children in the Amalthea Room have been exploring the concept of movement and stillness throughout Term 2. 🪩

One of the big questions guiding the educators' thinking has been: "How can we make movement visible? How can we give children something that helps them understand the cause and effect of their choice to move or remain still?"

The younger children were introduced to objects that move in response to children's actions, such as items that can be pushed and rolled, allowing children to explore movement, cause, and effect through play. 🎨

The Apollo Room was filled with excitement as the children watched their volcano bubble and erupt, exploring origins and endings, investigating how the world is shaped through natural forces. 🌋
