Hi Friends of CIT Visual Art!

Semester 2, 2026 classes are filling up quickly, with only a hand-full of classes left! Term 3 starts on Monday 27th July.

Diploma of Visual Art DAY classes
• Printmaking 2 (at the Bruce Campus) on Wednesdays. You need to have Printmaking 1 or a printmaking portfolio interview.
• Visual Art Studio 2, and companion subject Art Marketing and End of Year Exhibition - This year at ANCA Gallery Dickson. You need to have completed at least 3 of our diploma discipline subjects to be eligible for enrolment. Monday and Tuesday for term 3, and Tuesday and Thursday for term 4

Diploma NIGHT classes
• Mixed Media on Wednesday night - you need to have completed Certificate 4 level Drawing 1, Painting 1 and Printmaking 1, OR have a portfolio interview showing evidence of those skills.
• Drawing 2 on Thursday night - you need Drawing 1, OR drawing portfolio interview.

Certificate 4 in Visual Art, both NIGHT and DAY,
• Visual Art Studio 1. This is the capstone subject culminating in a group exhibition, and requires at least 3 Certificate 4 discipline subjects. Night classes are on Wednesday and Thursday nights, day classes are on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for TERM 4 ONLY - 12th October start
• Digital Art 1 on Thursday nights for term 4 - 15th October start - direct entry, no prerequisite skills needed - just enrol online

Hello Friends of CIT Visual Art!

Our many years at the CIT Reid campus is drawing to a close, and although sad, we're looking forward to the brand spanking new facilities, spaces, and equipment at the Woden Campus.

And it looks and feels fantastic!

Our twilight enrolment session is on tomorrow afternoon (from 3:30pm Thursday 5th June) at the new Woden campus so please come along and tell your friends!

We still have lots of places for semester 2 in both our night time Diploma and Certificate 4 Visual Art classes, and some places in the daytime classes.

Study flexibly part or full time, even with a combination of day and night subjects.

The Certificate 4 subjects are direct entry (no prerequisite skills needed), while the Diploma subjects require a portfolio interview or completion of the Cert 4 skillset.

All teachers are professional artists with years of experience.

Course costs are generously subsidised by the government, in one of the last jurisdictions in Australia that does so.

Hey friends of CIT Visual Art.

The 2025 courses have just opened and we have our first information sessions tomorrow Wednesday 13th November at 12:30pm and 5:45pm.

CIT Reid Campus, 37 Constitution Ave, Reid - in room L111.

You can enrol directly into the Certificate IV in Visual Art, or chat to our teachers about what you’ll need for the Diploma of Visual Art.

All subjects are immersive, studio-based and hands-on, with a strong focus on learning traditional techniques. Then moving into experimentation and in-depth refinement.

Classes are affordable and taught by professional artists and teachers… and they fill up fast!

Semester 1, 2025 starts on the Reid campus, then in semester 2 we move into the brand new Woden campus! We’re all looking forward to the new digs.
