National Tree Day Celebration
Last week we celebrated National Tree Day with the support of Bunnings.
A special thank you to Brianna from Bunnings and Carol, a regular volunteer at the school, who came along to support the event.
The day was supported by our SRC students, School Captains and Vice Captains and the Green Force representatives from Primary school. Students participated in a range of activities that encouraged learning about sustainability and caring for the environment.
As part of the celebration, each K to Year 2 class enjoyed making and sampling produce from our garden, including Zucchini and pumpkin brownies , basil pesto pinwheels made with basil and pumpkin grown in the school garden.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making National Tree Day a successful and enjoyable event for our students. Through hands on experiences, students learned about the importance of trees, gardening, sustainability and caring for our natural environment.
A special shout out to Julie and Kathryn from the Kitchen Garden program for their dedication and hard work in making this wonderful event possible.

The Year 5/6 Pink team are smashing it at the OzTag Gala Sports Day! They’ve one three of their games by a huge margin, and tied another. They are convinced they’re through to the semi-final, but we will wait for the ladder to be drawn before confirming! All boys have played with great sportsmanship and have represented Namadgi with pride.

Destination: Mars! 🚀🔴
Kent from the Academy of Future Skills was back with us this morning, taking our tech skills out of this world!
Our students got creative and re-created the rocky surface of Mars right in the classroom. They then put their coding Learning to the test, programming their Spike Prime robots to act just like the Mars Rover—navigating a tricky track and successfully dodging alien boulders! 🤖🗺️
The room was filled with incredible problem-solving and teamwork. Everyone brought a Positive Attitude to the challenge, showing fantastic resilience and Respect for the tech as they calibrated their rovers.
We might have some future space scientists right here in Kambah! 🌌✨
