A bit of good news for your Monday 💙🤍

Anyone who travels along Canberra Avenue around school time will know Bobby. He’s been a familiar face at the crossing between St Edmund’s and St Clare’s for years, always up for a chat, a wave and a bit of banter, while making sure our students get safely across the road.

We all know how wonderful Bobby is and how much he genuinely cares about the students from both Colleges. Over the years, he’s become so much more than a familiar face at the crossing. He’s simply become part of the fabric of our school communities.

R U Ok Day is a reminder that a simple conversation can make a real difference in someone's life.

Everyone experiences moments when life feels challenging, overwhelming, or lonely. Often, the most powerful thing we can do is take the time to check in with someone and ask, "Are you OK?"

At Eddies, we encourage our students, staff and families to look out for one another, listen without judgement, and offer support when it is needed.

Remember, you don't have to be an expert to make a difference. Being present, listening, and showing that you care can help someone feel seen, valued and supported.

So remember to take a moment to connect with someone. 𝐀𝐬𝐤. 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧. 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭. Because a conversation could change a life.

Today we celebrate and thank all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers and father figures who support, guide and inspire our young men every day.

We wish all the dads in our Eddies community a wonderful Father's Day, filled with family, laughter and special memories.

Thank you for the invaluable role you play in the lives of our students and our College community.

This morning, we gathered for our Father's Day Mass and Morning Tea, celebrating the important role fathers and father figures play in the lives of our students.

A sincere thank you to Fr Steve Fletcher for leading the service and helping us mark this special occasion. It was wonderful to see so many families come together in faith, fellowship and community.

Yesterday we held our inaugural 𝙎𝙩 𝙀𝙙𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙙’𝙨 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙞𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, and what a show it was!

From 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯’ 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳 to 𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦, each House took to the stage with incredible enthusiasm, talent and House spirit. The performances had the audience singing along and cheering from start to finish.

Congratulations to Rice House, who claimed the title and took home the House Choir Cup!

𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐱𝐞𝐝 𝟗-𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞, 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫-𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭!

The Old Boys & Friends Golf Day begins with a complimentary BBQ lunch at 2.00pm, followed by a 3.00pm shotgun tee-off. After the round, players are invited to enjoy afternoon tea and the presentation of prizes in the clubhouse from 5.00pm.

Don't have a team? No problem. We can help place you in a team on the day. No golfing experience is required, just a willingness to have fun and support a great cause.

There will be plenty of prizes up for grabs, including an award for Best Dressed. A portion of funds raised by the Old Boys & Friends Golf Day will be donated through the College Foundation to support families in need within our community.

Golf carts are available for hire directly from Fairbairn Golf Club on (02) 6257 9000.

Tickets are limited and sales close at midnight on Friday 27 November.
