This is the first in a series I’ve decided to make called “piano in pyjamas”
At 40, I seem to have found my way back to playing piano most days, usually in my pyjamas, as a way to unwind. The day is mostly done, the (hopefully) moment of quiet before the dinner, bed chaos as a mum of a 9 and 6yo. I play songs that make me smile, relax, or sometimes loud angry stuff - whatever happens to be taking my fancy at the time.
I am a classically trained pianist with an AMusA who used to teach piano. Professionally I’ve taken a different path now (trauma nurse manager and researcher) and I don’t know that I’ve ever enjoyed making music more than I am right now.
These are not designed as performance vids, there will be mistakes, I will be sight reading, my hair will be a mess, my makeup is off, I am in comfy clothes. I’m relaxing with music and hopefully you might too.

After taking a break for a few years I’ve realised I miss teaching too much and I’m ready to open my studio again. I will have limited places available on a Tuesday and Saturday afternoons at my home in Holder.
I have over 10 years full time piano teaching experience. I’m classically trained and hold an AMusA and CTMusA in piano and have been accredited by the NSW Music Teachers Association. I offer preparation for AMEB practical and theory examinations but my main focus is on person centred learning and the promotion of music skills and literacy. Beginners to early advanced and all ages catered for. My main goal each week is to make sure you want to come back next week.
