I think 99% of people should be using shoes with an elevated heel to squat and if you can't afford them just use my 2.5kg plates or a piece of wood that slopes up

It's not cheating, it's making you move better through bigger ranges of motion and feels good.

Great for people with any ankle or knee bits and pieces that feel like they can't get into a full deep squat in a good position.

Fixating on what's the most optimal or best thing is only making you worse, figure out what works first and what you like to do and then work and add from there.

Instead of trying to find the perfect exercise, time or routine just find something you enjoy and that works well enough and you've got your actual optimal routine.

4000 weeks ain't long and it means you'd be 80 years old.
Do the stuff you wanna do, enjoy some good food, hang out with your friends and be kind to everyone around you.

If you want to make the most of the little sneeze of time we have atleast make it enjoyable for you and your community

Getting better from adversity or difficult things is how our body works and one of the reasons we as humans can go through so much and continue to thrive and get better.

We are hard wired to get better from doing hard things that's why the gym and rehab work so well we have so few truly challenging things left in life that we have to create them in little spots filled with heavy circles.

Embrace the difficult stuff and know you can and will make it out the other side better, you got this.

Knowing and believing that you will get better and progress is one of the key factors in practice and in research to get better

If you want to get better you truly have to believe you will.

Our thoughts affect us far more than we think, so why set yourself up to fail when you can make your brain work for you not against you.

Your brain controls it all, be grateful regularly and prepare for the worst but expect the best

This is one of the easiest things you can do for yourself and those around you in your gym or rehab journey just be kind.

Give yourself the time, space and grace to get better and don't try rush it just because you have some made up time line or expectations of where you should be.

Everyone in the gym or rehab is there to get better so just be nice to people, it's genuinely one of the easiest

Another week and you get to see some kids lifting! How good, the rain over the lake and the cat tax are pretty cute this week also. I hope everyone has a good week!

Anxiety and second guessing yourself sucks, letting it win and stop you from getting better in your rehab or gym is even worse.

You more than likely won't remember the last time the voice in your head was right especially the anxious one.

Rehab and the gym is all about making your brain knows it's going to be okay, for me that means saying out loud "you can do this, or this will be okay".

Learning when to push and when to chill out is a skill in the gym and rehab you can only learn by doing it.

You can have a million other check boxes but the only way to find out is to do the thing.

Next time you're having a good day with you gym or rehab add an extra 2.5,5,10kg to your lift and see what happens

You need to experiment to find out what you can truly do.
