Little by little, our classroom house has become a place full of belonging, connection and imagination ✨🏡

Each child created their own little wooden person with their photo and self portrait, helping everyone recognise who is here each day, learn each other’s names, and feel part of the group. Now, these special pieces have naturally become part of their play, conversations and friendships inside the house they built together.

Through this experience, children are developing identity, relationships and a sense of belonging, strongly connected to the EYLF outcomes as they learn about themselves and others through play 💛

Celebrating Family Week together 💛

This week at Galileo Spanish Australian Preschool, we enjoyed a beautiful Family Week celebration with a special morning tea shared with our wonderful families.

It was a lovely opportunity to connect, laugh, share conversations, and celebrate the important role families play in each child’s learning journey. Experiences like these help children develop a strong sense of belonging and connection within their community, supporting their wellbeing and identity in meaningful ways.

A very special moment during our group time 💛

This week, one of our wonderful families joined us to share a story with the children during group time. Together, we read Little Blue Truck and Racer Red, a lovely story about friendship, teamwork, kindness, and learning that being first is not always the most important thing.

The children were excited to listen, participate, and enjoy this meaningful experience together.

A handful of loose parts… and suddenly, a whole world comes to life ✨🌿

In the hands of a child, the simplest elements from the environment become stories, adventures, restaurants, homes, forests, treasures, and magical creatures. There are no limits when imagination leads the play.

Allowing children to explore the rain offers powerful benefits:

- Sensory Exploration: Listening to the rhythm of the drops, smelling the wet earth, and feeling the fresh water on their skin.

Under close supervision, we brought out our brushes and let the rain do the magic. By using the rainwater to paint, our little artists created unique masterpieces alongside nature. 🌈🖌️

At our bilingual preschool, every experience becomes an opportunity to explore, create, and learn in both English and Spanish. 🌎🇬🇧

🌳✨🌿🌼 To celebrate Forest Day, our children enjoyed a local walk where nature became our classroom.

Using leaves, sticks and natural materials, they created beautiful artworks while exploring creativity, textures and the environment around them.
