Today is Hands Up for Canberra Day!π
Your donation will help us strengthen our community, ensuring everyone can live their best life. Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of our community members.
π$5 - Buys a "social coffee" for a local who needs a warm drink.
π$12 - Gives an older person a lift to get their groceries, attend an appointment or connect with others.
π$50 - Means a young person has a safe place to have a meal with activities that help them explore their identity.
π$250 - Sends a family on a respite holiday to have some quality time together.
π$1,000 - Strengthens 5 families with programs that grow connections and develop safe and secure environments.
Each contribution, no matter how small will be doubled meaning together we can make double the impact in our community!

Did you know that October is Down Syndrome Awareness month? The children at BRECC do!
One of the ways the children furthered their knowledge was to participate in the national campaign .
The reason for the number21, is that people with down syndrome have an extra chromosome 21 and it is sometimes called trisomy 21.
The children at BRECC drew 21 steps in chalk and spent the week taking 21 steps, engaging in conversations and developing their knowledge further.
