To the body growing a baby... 🤍
Thank you for stretching.
Thank you for adapting.
Thank you for carrying the extra weight, the sleepless nights, the kicks, the hiccups, and the countless changes.
Pregnancy asks a lot of your body.
Yet somehow, day after day, it continues to show up and do the remarkable work of creating life.
Your body doesn't need to be perfect. It only needs to be appreciated for the incredible job it's doing.

💛 To the woman who is still waiting for two pink lines...
I see you.
The appointments.
The tests.
The endless waiting.
The hope each month brings, and the disappointment that can follow.
If you're navigating fertility challenges due to endometriosis, please know that your feelings are valid.
You don't have to be positive all the time.
You don't have to explain your journey to anyone.
And you don't have to walk this path alone.
Whether you're exploring answers, considering treatment options, or simply taking things one day at a time, be gentle with yourself.
Your journey matters.
Your story matters.
And support is available when you're ready to reach for it. 💛

For many women living with endometriosis, that's where the story begins.
Painful periods, pelvic pain, painful in*******se, digestive issues, fatigue, and difficulty conceiving are often dismissed as something they simply have to put up with.
But severe pain is not something you should have to "just live with."
Endometriosis affects approximately 1 in 10 women and can have a significant impact on fertility, physical wellbeing, and mental health.
One of the biggest challenges is that diagnosis can take years, leaving many women searching for answers while their symptoms continue.
If something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts and keep advocating for yourself. Your pain deserves to be taken seriously.

The power of hands. 🤍
There is so much that happens in birth that no one talks about - the quiet moments, the grounding touch, the person beside you who anchors you back to your body when the waves feel overwhelming.
Counterpressure - firm, intentional pressure applied to the lower back, hips, or sacrum - sounds simple. And it is. But the effect on a labouring body can be profound.
During a contraction, your uterus is working hard, and for some women, that intensity radiates deep into the lower back, especially when baby is sitting in a posterior position. Counterpressure works by meeting that sensation head on, interrupting the pain signals travelling to the brain and giving the nervous system something steady to orient to.
This kind of touch can meaningfully reduce labour pain and help the labouring person feel less alone in the intensity of it all.
You don't need to be a midwife to offer this. You just need to show up, stay present, and be willing to hold someone through the hardest and most beautiful thing they will ever do.
Every labour is different. Every body is different. But the need to feel held? That's universal. 💛

That first cry 🤍
One of the most incredible moments in birth is hearing your baby’s very first cry. It’s more than just an emotional moment - it’s also a sign that your baby is beginning the big transition from life inside the womb to the outside world.
As babies take their first breaths, their lungs expand, fluid begins to clear, and their circulation changes to support life outside the uterus. 🌿
Not all babies cry straight away, and that can still be completely normal too. Some are calm, alert, and simply take in the world quietly. ✨
There is so much power, strength, and love in these first moments earthside.

Your placenta is incredible 💫
Did you know your placenta is the only temporary organ your body creates from scratch during pregnancy? It works around the clock to support your growing baby by:
• Delivering oxygen and nutrients
• Removing waste products
• Producing essential pregnancy hormones
• Helping protect your baby from infections
This amazing organ grows alongside your pēpi and plays a huge role in pregnancy, labour, and birth. After birth, many parents are fascinated seeing the placenta for the very first time - a powerful reminder of what the body is capable of. 🤍
Every placenta tells its own story, and no two are exactly the same.

Breastfeeding can look beautiful, emotional, exhausting, empowering, and sometimes all of those things at once 🤍
There’s no “perfect” journey.
Some feeds feel easy. Some don’t.
Some mums breastfeed exclusively, some pump, some combo feed, and every journey deserves support, not judgement.
Lactation support is about helping you find what works best for you and your baby while feeling informed, supported, and cared for along the way.
