A huge thank you to the Dubbo Dojo for hosting such a well-run National Championships. Events like these take an enormous amount of work behind the scenes, and the effort put in by the organisers was evident throughout the entire day.
Thank you also to all of the officials, referees, judges, scorekeepers, and volunteers who gave their time to ensure the competition ran smoothly, fairly, and professionally.
And finally, thank you to all of the parents, families, and supporters who make these opportunities possible. From early mornings and long drives to endless encouragement from the sidelines, your support plays a vital role in every martial artist’s journey.
The martial arts community is built on people willing to give their time, energy, and support to others. Today was a wonderful reminder of that.

Absolutely blown away by the competitiveness, courage, and sportsmanship shown by the Weston Creek athletes at the KRMAS National Championships.
Every competitor faced tough opposition, yet they stepped onto the mats with confidence, stood toe-to-toe with their opponents, and represented our dojo with pride. The results were fantastic, but what impressed us most was the character they displayed throughout the day.
Every athlete showed heart, determination, humility, and, most importantly, respect.
We are incredibly proud of the amazing martial artists we have at our club.

Most people spend their lives avoiding discomfort.
Martial artists walk towards it.
Not because they enjoy suffering, but because they understand something most people don’t:
Everything you want is on the other side of something difficult.
Growth is uncomfortable.
Discipline is uncomfortable.
Change is uncomfortable.
The question isn’t whether life will challenge you.
The question is whether you’ll be ready when it does.

🔥 WELCOME TO THE TEAM! 🔥
Every journey starts with a single step… and these legends (just a couple out of many new students who have recently joined!) have taken that first step.
Congratulations to those who have decided to challenge themselves, learn new skills, and become part of the KRMAS family.
Over the coming weeks, months and years they’ll learn far more than punches and kicks. They’ll build confidence, resilience, discipline, fitness, and friendships that last a lifetime.
The hardest part is often walking through the doors for the very first time. They’ve done that. Now the adventure begins.
One day they’ll look back at these photos and realise this was the moment everything started.
Thinking about giving martial arts a try? Don’t wait until you’re fitter, more confident, or “ready.”
The students making the biggest progress a year from now will be the ones who started today.
Who’s next? 👊

Why Martial Arts Is Becoming the #1 Activity for Kids
When the weather turns cold, it’s easy for kids to spend more time indoors, on screens, and less time moving.
Martial arts gives them somewhere better to be.
A warm, welcoming environment. Safe mats. Positive role models. Friends to train with. And skills that will stay with them long after childhood.
Every class helps children build confidence, discipline, focus, resilience, respect, fitness, and self-defence skills - all while having fun.
Unlike many activities that focus only on winning or performance, martial arts teaches children how to handle challenges, keep trying when things get hard, and believe in themselves.
Out of the cold.
Onto safe mats.
Learning skills for life.
That’s why more and more families are choosing martial arts. 🥊

One of my favourite things about teaching isn’t seeing a perfect kick.
It’s seeing the reaction afterwards.
The smile.
The surprise.
The moment a child realises they can do something they couldn’t do five minutes ago.
Most of the lessons we teach in martial arts don’t happen during a speech. They happen in moments like this.
A child tries.
A child succeeds.
A child believes in themselves a little more than they did before.
And those small moments have a way of becoming something much bigger over time.
